Author Topic: Should AdultWork allow PM's between report writers.  (Read 1806 times)

Offline pilgrim

I presume it would be technically achievable to allow report writers to PM fellow users on Adultwork to ask for further info on a potential booking. Im sure that function already exists on Prossie Natter and you have an opt out function. You would still only be know by your user name and you would not see the email address (just like PM'ing a member on here)

What are your views on this? Positive and Negative.  Does anyone know if their have been any great tranches to AW for the good and benefit of all? How easy would it be for them to set it up?

I still use PN for reviews of agency lasses but with indies you are relying on reviews on AW and theres only about 1 in 20 FRs which often leaves you with unanswered questions.

Do you mean like an instant chat/messenger service, where one could add in 'trusted members', who wish to share information on a certain SP? As far as I'm concerned, with the way the site is currently constituted, I prefer to share my via PM only.  :hi:

I don't wish any prossie to read my personal recommendations or info on other SPs. I don't believe they're entitled to read that and I don't consider it any of their business. I share my info to help other punters, not them and for a prossie to have access to personal information on another SP, could represent a major conflict of interest. Add to that, the potential trolls and troublemakers too, who aren't genuine punters.

An instant chat facility would be good, when talking about sharing recommendations and seeking more detailed info.

I'm not a member of prossienet, but don't they have such a chat facility?  :unknown:

Would be a useful feature. I've always thought the option to open a dispute with feedback would be better (like on eBay) but it would probably waste a lot of the admin's time and lead to false claims - how can someone decide whether or not the punter had a cheesy dick?

I have since stopped posting reports on prossienet, after Galahad slagged off this site. It's a shame that it is the best know FR site and the most quoted on prossies own websites. About 70% of the reports are abysmal, undetailed and give no information away - I don't care if the punter wishes Mrs Pissflaps was his girlfriend or if he doesn't want to say what happened; a bit of quality control would work wonders and an updated layout. But, that's another topic.

Technically, I think AW members can email male members and ask for more detail, but I don't know if they have to be a service provider.

Don't think you're on the right line Matty, unless I'm completely wrong.

I think Pilgrim is suggesting a way for service seekers on AW to be able to contact each other - so say I've written a FR on someone you're interested in, but you wanted more info about something in it, you could then contact me through AW to ask me for more info. Not involving the service provider side of things at all.

No, I believe that you have to be a service provider to do that. AW is geared for prossies, not punters.

Yes, I stand corrected! I thought he was talking about a facility to chat to only punters on here! Not a bad idea, I may add. Something like 'instant chat'?

I realised I was on the wrong track, but it was a little too late to correct!

Just to clarify. I mean a facility for a punter to punter direct PM Private message with no third party intervention or visibility to a "service provider" prossie. As Ive been typing this with my sausage finger Haystacks79 has hit the nail on the head. Direct chat could be an option that could be set up but I for one wouldnt use it as I cant type fast enough, the receiver would have died of boredom before I got the reply typed and sent.

I think there is a way to email other AW users who are not SPs. Jacob posted it once.

Interesting if thats the case. As A/W arent in existence to help punters just make money i am surprised there is a facility available to PM other punters.

If you do that after reading their FB on a WG you are interested in but before you see her yourself it could be useful in my view.

I've not been on AW for 4 months or so now but I think even if there was such a facility  it was probably disabled when the flirt /proposal thing or whatever it was called was removed for providers.

I read that service seekers were sick of getting random stuff from service providers so i suppose the same could apply.  In theory allowing PM's between report writers is great for exchanging info about providers but open to abuse as it just means instead of us being asked details for the wank bank by email you lot will instead, :D maybe more so even as men tend to be more graphic. :)

Offline brooksey

In practice a daft idea as my inbox would soon be full of all sorts of junk from random punters as well as pimps masquerading as service seekers and all the other phoneys that inhabit AW.
i prefer only to receive mail from those SPs I have contacted. If I'm after third party info on a girl I'll stick to here or auto-censored.

I never tried it but Jacob and WCL seem to think it worked, AnthG did not.

It appears to work sending from my account to my account - can't comment beyond that though.

And can confirm that I was able to contact Daffodil in this way, through AW, using his numeric userid.

Very useful, but are you really going to start mailing other punters unsolicited ?

Not personally, no, I've no intention of doing that. Could think of other possibilities for it though.

Why not?

I really think that if AW are going to allow SP's to leave notes on SU's without the SU knowing what those notes are then SU's should also be able to leave notes about SP's.  I am really not happy that someone could leave a malicious note about me on my profile and i would not know or be able to comment on it (not that it has happened so far).

That said, there are times when I and a mate of mine want to punt together i.e. we would be sharing a flat and he wants to see a girl and I want to see a girl.  It would be nice if we could discuss the girls we want to see via email on AW instead of having to use a separate email and link to the profiles.

But Adultwork don't give a stuff what punters think about the notes section. The site is slanted in the prossies favour for commercial reasons. As for your concern about another prossie leaving false feedback, I wouldn't worry. In my experience, most don't give a fuck what another prossie says. They're just interested in the cash, unless your feedback was full of negatives and even then, more than one will take the chance.  :hi:

The smarter ones are well aware another girl will slate a punter just to put off other girls or through fear of loosing their business. I've seen them stab each other in the back to take a punter from the other, offering me a discounted rate and all the rest. It's just business to them. I've seen this happen many times, including siblings.  :hi:

As was stated on JRC RB thread prossies do give a stuff about FB unfortunately.  I remember having a number of aliases and one negative FB from a webcammer and I got a handful of responses to a RB over a two week period (and even then they were not much good).  When the aliases went six months later and I had managed to see one or two girls who had left me more positive feedback I had twenty responses to the same RB within the same period of time (with some very good choices).

To an extent I'd agree, but a RB outcall is of a somewhat different nature. I never meant that AW feedback wouldn't matter for some, rather, I've punted girls who've been happy to take another girls punter, regardless of the what the spurned prossie said about that punter to her or via AW feedback. You can checkout AW yourself and look at punters who've received the most terrible feedback and yet genuine prossies still accept their booking!

I'd wager if they were a 8 plus punter a day ho, doing incalls, it wouldn't bother them in the slightest. Depends on who you're pitching your booking at. I'm happy to find examples.  ;)

Here, a quick case in point. Check this guy's feedback. Most of it is pretty positive, but clearly has an issue with being rejected. I actually punted one of the women he used to see, before he turned against her and got all nasty. I read some of his field reports and it amazes me that a woman would receive a booking off him after that and the negatives, but they do!  :D

Would you take a booking from him? I sure as hell wouldn't, but they do.  :scare:
