I'm planning a trip to London and one thing I always forget to look up is decent Restaurants for punting food.
Usually I'm lazy and just get a Burger King, KFC or Pizza Hut as I am a totally lazy tourist and its filling.
But I think I'm missing out given that London is home to many Chef's, famous restaurants and world tastes I could be missing out on- like Curry, Thai, Lebanese, genuine Italian, Chinese etc.
So bit of a large question -where do you eat and if so can you recommend some good scoff in London?
Bit of a big question because the choice in London these days is infinitely better. Any Londoner could probably recommend a long list of great places to eat, but if you're dining alone, don't want to spend a fortune, and don't want to take any risks, then I'd suggest going to somewhere like a Carluccio or Pizza Express. Service is always quick, and the food's fresh. They're chains, so you'll not have to look far to find one in Central London.
If you like Chinese, go to Chinatown. Pick any one that has Chinese people dining in it. For Japanese, Yo Sushi is unbeatable.
For Indian, I know it's a cliche, but Brick Lane is the best. And cheapest.
If you want to grab a snack, can't beat Pret a Manger. Nicer and pricier is the deli counter at Selfridges.
