Car Registrations and those damned abbreviations

I have a habit of spotting abbreviations in car registration plates.

Imagine my dismay when a close family member recently bought a car with a reg that ends EAS.

What brought this to mind was just the other day when I almost blurted out to the OH one I saw that began OW then 04 as I saw the OWO.

Is anyone else afflicted with this habit?

No I just happen to be extremely inappropriate naturally, so can't say I would notice

I do it all the time and get so excited when i find a funny one. I saw h0mo the other day. I saw a bright pink audi tt with the number plate milf but think that one was deliberate

Reg's that end DFK always make me smile. I've seen a couple of private plates that I remember vividly but can't repeat them as they're a standing joke in our house.

Few months ago saw a car in west London with the registration P1 MPS. Funny thing was the driver looked fuck all like a "Sergei".

I saw this really hot looking black girl at a service station a few years ago. She just had that look that screamed "escort". Checked out the reg on her car and it said J WEBB. Yup, it was Jasmine Webb, pornstar.

Yeah I do it, have done for years, but not with punt / porn releated acronyms. I tend to spot peoples initials in number plates a lot. Boring, I know.

And PMT used to stand for Potteries Motor Traction, a bus company.

Absolutely suffer with this - seem to be in an area where BBJ is common on number plates. Just makes me smile.

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. The one's I can't stand are those that mean something to the person driving the car, but fuck all to anyone else. Why would you do that?

Amusing though, I find myself now looking at car regs to see if I can get a punting term or name out of them. Eases the rush-hour congestion no end.
