I was pointing out selling your body is no more dangeous than going about your everyday business. I was doing that when I was attacked a few years back and the perpetrator neve got caught, same as your 'mate from university'. Risks are the same because punters come from all walks of life some good, some bad, some big, some small, some ugly.
The additional risk is catching some disease or other if you dont take protection but thats the same for punters as well.
