Author Topic: Does a Photoshopped prossie put you off?  (Read 1595 times)

We see those obviously Photoshopped photos, particularly of the older WGs and for me it is an instant 'look elsewhere' signal so why do some of the younger good looking ones, do it?

When I look at this photo, I think she 'looks' stunning, but might wonder if she 'really' is. She has clearly been Photoshopped, so my imagination assumes she must be spotty, pimply or has some other defects that she is trying to hide, and it would put me off contacting her.

Now, I have met this girl, (didn't punt her, I was waiting for her housemate) and in real life she is absolutely fucking gorgeous.

Is it just me, or would others be put off booking her because of the 'Photoshopped photo' and what it might be hiding?

To be honest I see photos like that. I immediately think PG scam.

Young girls <25 do not need to pay for expensive photo shoots. A simple pic with their mobile phone is good enough leaving me to auto believe PG scam type fake, never that she is pimply or anything as I doubt a girl that age would be care TBH. If she did she would not be working in this job role.

Older women photoshopped as in 35+ I immediately think 'looks so bad to need the photoshop'. There have been a few cases when the verification photo has been so bad it looks like the girls mother in the regular gallery.

Read the thread on LizHilton to get a classic example on that phenomena.

Gemma Harris also has serious major photoshop.

Good post. Yes. I like the photo to be as "natural" as possible so I can see the possible quality within.
What I also find irritating is that the photo is not the only criteria for me. It is how I read the attitude from the info supplied. The more these things combine to show a genuine horny professional at work the better I like it. If I went to see someone who looked nothing like the photos I would walk. :hi:

Yes.
Nothing wrong with a mobile pic, they are easily good enough nowadays, and show a bit of realism

I much prefer natural photos that look like the WG i will actually be meeting of course.

The problem to me is photoshopping is endemic in punting in my experience so if i had a principle that i wouldnt punt with such SPs and it is Agencies as well in particular i find photoshop a lot as well (although i no longer punt through Agencies anyway), then it would substantially limit my available choice.

Knowing that i will punt with such SPs being pragmatic.

I like the photos to be as natural looking as possible - photoshop and similar software can do amazing things, to the extent that you may as well be looking at a completely computer generated image. I'd like the photo to reflect the person I'd meet in real life - spots and all (as I'm sure we all get those). The only legitimate use to me is to cover up some clearly identifying feature (tattoo, birthmark etc.) that could cause trouble if recognised.

I use the photo to judge character as well, thinking (possibly wrongly or optimistically!) that an honest and unaltered photo is likely to also mean an honest profile, so giving a much better idea of the type of girl she is.

In the case above, it wouldn't put me off because I remember seeing natural pics of her and she looked very nice.

But, more generally, physical appearance is important for me so I avoid profiles that have photoshopped pics. The only thing reliable about photoshopped pics is the guaranteed disappointment on arrival.  The ones to particularly avoid are the ones that are photoshopped and look like they were taken 10-20 years ago with a dated hairstyle. Thankfully, it's pretty easy to tell when pics are photoshopped. Just look for the unnaturally shiny skin with no texture.

She should've photoshopped the sole of her shoe!
Yep, I noticed that too!!

All it would make me do is ensure I had a reliable Plan B, in case she turned out to be a hound in the flesh.

I would like to see this lady in the flesh. Where she based?

Obviously a clever ruse to make us think everything else was also left untouched. Alas, he made an elementary error by removing the spots from a WG's arse! Without spots, it couldn't possibly be real.

She has that look that she might be boss eyed as well. Hope I find out and be able to report back!

All WGs are boss-eyed - they have one eye on your cock and one eye on your wallet.  :D

Oh yes, they can multitask with the best of them, in that respect!  :D

Prossies use a made up name right?

I think someone was having a laugh at her expense when she made her profile (because her English was limited when I saw her in Dec) - her AW name is Sandra!!!

Have you seen the state of Kate Moss in real life, that is an absolute dog but in her photos she is still attractive.

Offline adindas

Voted Yes to. The problem with photoshopping and/or airbrushing is that the actual person could turn out to be entirely different in flesh.

Have you seen the state of Kate Moss in real life...

Yes i have.

...that is an absolute dog...

Dog is a bit strong isnt it? Obviously she's going to look better
in a studio setting but i've seen recent papazzi pics in clothes
where she still looks good-very doable.she's always had scrawny knees
and a flatish bum granted but the face has mostly held up ok
given her druggie hard partying lifestyle. Also i dont think going
out with Pete Doherty is going to improve anyone's looks

here's a mixture of studio and press pics-

i have seen a lot worse women in their late 30's.
