Wife and I went once, out of curiosity, about 3 yrs ago. Complete waste of time (and money). Almost everyone there was much older than us or fat. It seemed like a lot of them knew each other already. We left after 30 min because we felt very uncomfortable

I wouldn't normally post on here but just had too when I seen this post " AVOID " what a dump went once and would never go back it's a shithole utter garbage .
Single guys go thinking its a sure thing for a fuck but it's not that easy.
It is a clique of mingers it's always been well known for its bad reputation
We left because it was rank even seen a girl taking BB that was enough for us and left I put a bad review of it up on the swingers site and ended up with a few guys and girls going mental at me shouting that it was the swinging elite haha yeah for hags and toothless men
If you want to swing join a swingers site but it takes time to build up connections for invites to parties
This was back in 2007 so I don't know if the place has had a revamp but I can bet it's still the same crowd

Agree with most of the above but you can strike lucky.  I met a very fit mid 40's female who was there with her hubby.  Got chatting and she took a shine to me and we ended up having some great fun in a room with closed door initially, but after a while I opened it and let the crowd of wankers who had gathered at the door have an eyeful. 

I swapped fabswingers details with them and as they were from Oxford, I thought that would be that.  However a few months later I got a text from hubby, asking me to meet the wife in a hotel in the Grassmarket, as she was up on business and needed company.  Had a few drinks in the bar and then went up to her room and shagged all night...

It is what it is. A club for those who are interested enough in sex to stand around and talk about it and I quite like it for that alone. The fact that I have had some easy casual sex there is a bonus.

If you are not turned on by older, slightly chubby women, don't go.

Having said that, I have had some great fun with younger, quite fit women but there is no way of knowing who will be there on any given night.

If you just want sex, pay for it. If you want a club, After Eight is about your only choice as a single bloke.

My experience is that I've been to a few swingers clubs. I've been to after 8 as a single guy and it was ok. Its just your luck with who is there that night. I've been to cjs as well a few times and it is alot better and the talent is a bit better as well but again it depends who attends that day it varies.
I visited infusions in Blackpool with my partner n it was excellent, alot of fit girls and excellent facilities.
The club I want to visit most as a single would be the private club in Birmingham. Looks amazing

Not sure how accurate that is Lily. I know one Edinburgh based escort who has been on the swinging scene for quite a bit, used to work in one of the sauna's and is now on Adultwork attends After 8 quite regularly.

Not sure about after 8, but escorts who are paid to go to CJS are frowned upon. It's meant to be a be fun between like minded people. Escorts usually stand out as they're not there for the right reasons. And seasoned swingers see right through them. Why you been asked to go?

I don't imagine after 8 can be choosey enough to discriminate against escorts, from what I know a few sauna girls go there. and the club was run for a time by ex sauna staff. A sauna girl offered to take me along, but its way past my bedtime.

I checked it out a few months back while visiting Edinburgh.  Thought the people I talked to at the bar were friendly enough although perhaps one or two a bit overly cautious with a newbie.  There were some tourist couples there which has got to be one of the selling points of this place.  Sadly as they all started to slowly make their way downstairs (or was it upstairs I can't remember) I had to be somewhere else.  I think it just depends on luck.  One guy told me the ratio of women to men can be 3 or 4 to 1 on some nights and it was about even when I was there.

I thought the place was interesting to say the least but swinging really isn't my thing tbh.

I went once with a girl I knew and it was pretty seedy with no attractive women and far too many guys. We had a short group thing (which is why we went) with some guys and her before the alcohol wore off and we left sharpish. Definitely seen as a place where good looking younger girls do not go...I won't return!!

Went once and only once. A rip off and the owners were very unfriendly. Had to be an annual membership as a single male and door entry for the night in question. £60 or thereabouts and the owners pointed to where the lockers were for changing and they didn't say anything else all night other than tell me the price of the Irn Bru! One or two of the club members were friendly enough so it wasn't a wasted journey.

CJs in Glasgow is a lot more friendly, and busy and clean.

I have been a couple of times.
