Author Topic: £60 a night???  (Read 3120 times)

£60 for half hour, was in the Sun as well this article. They're run by pimps so I wouldn't go near them.

You can tell it's been well written when the headline doesn't match what's quoted in the article - £60 per night in the headline, but for half an hour in the text. Consistency like that reminds me why I rarely bother with a newspaper.

I think its been said like that to be a catchy phrase to get people to read it.

£60 a night prostitutes sounds more attention and must read than £60 per half hour.

If I had never saw an escort before I would have been curious to read the story at those quoted prices.

An agent or a pimp ?
I do not think any of these WGs have been forced to work as a WGs. There is always security in a hotel, If they were a pimp forcing them to do what she was not willing to do, the WGs could easily run away and report it to other guest in the hotel or security. The pi,mps who would let their WGs operating from a hotel is just committing a suicide.

In this case the agent is just managing their booking, accommodation. They are free to leave and come back again at any time.

It all depends on your definition of a pimp, it is a very grey area between being what you call "an agent" and a pimp, there is very little difference in my opinion ----- the courts would probably think the same.

The Sun said they spoke to one of the pro$$ie$ pimps, so I'm guessing pimps.

The problem is a lot of Pro$$ies couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery, let alone advertise (Even if it's just a profile on AW) take bookings and put credit on their phones, so they need the help pf Pims agents  :hi:

Some of these working girls are so stupid, if you look on AW they even tell everyone what days and the name of the hotels they are working at.  https://www.adultwork.com/ViewProfile.asp?UserID=1587864

The version from the sun says much the same thing, and is presumably the starting point for the other article

Interesting mix of views in the comments there.

You're probably right, or possibly a bad copy and paste from The Sun article, if that came first.

Unlike most tabloid shite there's actually a ring of truth in all this, as though the reporter had actually gone to see the girl rather than making the whole thing up. Heaven forfend ! £60 a half hour is about accurate. Feltham travelodge does have a quite anonymous way in where you can get in a lift without going through reception. I know because I saw a nice Latvian girl there a couple years ago. Also there's no implication that any girls were actually forced or coerced.
I'm sure Travelodge are delighted with the publicity.

Funny to read the readers comment in the Sun. Hardly any righteous indignation. Nearly all "so what?"

No one is suggesting the story is not true, the problem is with the headline -------

Police investigating after prostitutes are caught selling sex for £60-a-night at Travelodge

I am a big fan of the Daily Mail but this is very sloppy journalism.   :( :(

I am a big fan of the Daily Mail

Oh Jimmy really?  :(

I for one hope this does not change anything (Not that I think it really will) I have met some nice lasses both English and European that regularly work out of hotels.

Yes the headline in the Mail is different to that in the Sun which just says "Ho-tel. Hookers sell sex at Travelodge" (aka bears are caught short in forested areas).

I can't imagine the police diverting any precious resources to this.

Resources for what. The only thing these WGs could possibly have done is used the hotel as a brothel, and with a brothel its the owner/manager who is breaking the law not the WGs.

The only other possible criminal offence is soliciting in public, only a legal eagle which i am not could maybe say whether working out of the public premises of a hotel albeit presumably only from a private room could possibly be seen as soliciting. If not the WGs havent broken the law, whether the hotel as they mention can do anything i have no idea, banning them from staying in future i imagine is the only thing they could do.

In the medium to long term, this is good publicity for the sex industry, a lot of guys will be thinking, 60£ a pop, in a hotel, I think I, ll have some of that, not to mention quite a few young woman.
