At present is the Adultwork Verification Process of any use at all ?

 Firstly , apologies if this thread already exists ; I did a search , got a massive list of results , all a few years old and non in the first 20 or so results an exact match so I decided to start a new one.

A couple of recent threads in the West and East Midlands areas have motivated this question.Firstly a suspected scam involving Polish girls ; all with hidden feedback but all verified.Secondly , I have just spotted this one ;

Clearly in the above case the verification photo is not a match for the profile photos and description ; it proves it is not genuine but Adultwork have not removed the profile ; infact they have given it a stamp of approval.In this case we are lucky as the verification photo is displayed , but the photos are primarily intended as some proof for Adultwork and most are hidden from unsuspecting viewers.

I can understand the problems with making the display of Verification Photos mandatory as a lot of legitimate escorts do not have face photographs for privacy reasons.

What exactly does the verification process entail ; do any personal details have to be given that confirm the location and identity of the person responsible for the account , at least potentially leaving them open to actions should foul play be reported  ?

I personally don't understand the point in it if the above profile was given the stamp of verification ; could anyone have even compared the verification photo to the profile it was linked to for this to happen ? Do AW actually give a damn ?

Additionally there are the blatantly incorrect ages of many verified members.I have even seen some ladies on my own AW hotlist lose a year or few overnight . I f AW do have proof of their official DOBs this should not be happening either.

I know that verification could at best let you know you have a better chance of seeing the person featured in the profile and could give no guarantee of services and so on but it seems to me that at present it is worse than nothing as it gives fake assurances of a degree of safety where non actually exists !

Look at those profile pics compared to the verfication pic!

Anyone turning up expecting to see that PYT and getting that MajorMunter would have a heart attack. Should be a fucking health warning on that profile for sure and totally shows the "AW Verified Member" tag up for what it is - bullshit!!

As always, the only true "verified member" on AW is one who has been reviewed here! UKP to the rescue!

It means fuck all to me as I know A/W is owned and run by low lifes with no interest in helping punters. In fact and I cant prove it which is the beauty of it I believe A/W themselves post up some of the Private Gallery scam profiles, accrue some credits then delete the profile and post another up and so on and on, this is so easy for them to do with very little chance of being outed, that's how little I think of them.

I continue to use A/W as a location tool only as its the best there is sadly.

I have not heard they charge for this, more likely to me its an attempt to look more credible in my view.
