Author Topic: Stay safe Leeds guys - 'Super-gonorrhoea' outbreak  (Read 2466 times)

This isn't the ho41 strain,  so no big panic.  And certainly no risk of anything being cut off.  I'd trust the real news papers more than some random on Facebook
http://www.theguardian.com/society/2015/sep/18/drug-resistant-gonorrhoea-outbreak-sparks-england-wide-alert

Here's info on the hoax report from facebook (and the Daily Mail)
http://m.hoax-slayer.com/std-superbug-warnings.shtml

Short version: be careful,  but you'll not lose your cock or balls unless you pass it on to your other half

Just fyi, 'super gonorrhoea' is nothing new- the nature of gonorrhoea is that it always mutates to resist treatment, much like the flu. Leeds has always had a high rate and the existence of 'super gonorrhoea' is due solely to the press releases surrounding it. Gonorrhoea has always been prevalent in this area and it is always proving resistant to medication.
The most at-risk groups are those 20-25 who are more likely to go out to clubs etc. every weekend and have unprotected sex with people they don't know and who also regularly engage in unprotected sex within the same demographic.
As with other STDs, sex workers are less likely (on the whole) to carry as they are more rigorous in their sexual health practices.
So it's ok guys.

Last I understood I had and still have freedom of speech ! But as you're well informed on all medical matters I must believe that gives you the right to speak to people with such disrespect....there are so many forum Rambo's who will shout at anyone else who expresses a different view point or opinion...Justanotheruser?...maybe more like justanotheridiot!.....but I could be wrong

It's not about a point of view in this situation, just the facts. Genuine apologies for appearing aggressive but if dodgy info spreads it doesn't help anyone.

Thanks for the info, and it reinforces what I believed but how do you know this?  Is it from official sources?

Hi, I have this info from the local sex worker's project who are in communication with local health services.

Well guys, this topic got heated!!  So - I've worked in the medical research industry for over 40 years.  Specifically in filtration of blood borne viruses, STD's and later, AIDS.  I spend my shifts in a full bio-hazard suit in a sterile room.  I'm currently helping to develop a £2 coin size filter which can sift pretty much anything from blood and they cost nearly £12,000 each!
I can honestly say, I have never come across a case of someone having their cock cut off due to a sexual infection.  It's an Urban Myth.  Even with advanced Syphilis back in the day, they used to treat you with Mercury - which just killed you anyway with heavy metal poisoning!  The only cases of penis removal I've ever had verified as true are due to cancer, or a certain notorious South American parasite which can enter your cock if you have a pee in a river.

Even so, as a long time punter, adulterer, womaniser and thrill seeker, I would never fuck a WG bareback.  I would not lick her pussy if she offered bareback, and I probably wouldn't accept OWO if she offered BB either.  STD's can be transmitted orally, so I probably wouldn't even want want a kiss either.  Just steer well clear.
Guy's, if you believe the Daily Mail, just having sex with your wife, or a quick wank, is dangerous!  You'll go to hell.  But I have 2 rules which I stick by every time.  If the girls breath smells great, and she is as freshly showered as me, I'll go ahead.

Any questions, drop me a line and I'll try and answer.  Bear in mind I'm NOT a doctor - I can't diagnose a problem - I'm a researcher/developer.  But 6 years Uni and the rest in the industry has given me a lot of knowledge.  Just be sensible guys - and let the big head on your shoulders make the decisions.
