First let me apologise if this is not in the right section.

I've just had a pm request , for contact information,  from a newbie.
What I find peculiar is that the op registered at around 8pm yesterday and sent me a PM a couple of hours later, how is that possible.  My understanding is that it takes a day or two before newbies get pm privileges.
What I find a bit more disturbing is the pm arrived straight after a previous post I made, where I said I was not averse to helping out newbie's but I had refused to help someone who had been registered for 10 months and had only 1 meaningless post.
Perhaps administration can shed some light.

It must be Moroccan Vice trying to shut you down. No more apartment recommendations for Marrakech or Agadir.
Banning reason: Posting bollocks

now this is curious, awaiting admins reply myself. On the flipside a few personal questions are you married? In a relation ship? I only ask as it might be some one you know or some one who thinks they know you. One thing though never hand out your personal details unless you actualy know punters  :hi:

I've had several PMs from members with no posting history whatsoever. I generally always respond to reasonable requests for information but I've had several that I've been dubious about. Some have crossed a line that has made me uncomfortable and I generally stop responding at that time. 2 really stand out for me: 1 that's started out as a polite request for info but then appeared to slip into a personal info fishing exercise. Another was about personal info about a girl.

We all have to start somewhere but I'm highly dubious about 0 posters who subsequently make no contribution to the board ever.

I changed it recently, might return to delayed or no PM facility at all for new members or those using proxies if get troll attacks via PM.

Quite common that one, some report their PMs to me and in some cases I've stripped their PM facility as it highly dodgy behavior. I think everyone should report such things, that way I can either act or keep it on their record for the future.

Thanks Admin.  I personally think that no one should be allowed pm privileges until they have at least two or three posts under their belts.

I'm assuming that you mean a request for contact info of a WG.
If a newbie asked me personal info, I'd politely tell them where to go.

no.  Sorry perhaps I should have made it a bit clearer.  The op wanted contact information for wg friendly apartments in marrakesh.

I respond to PM's including newbies as everybody needs to get started and needs help with info however I always check their history; posts etc to see if they look dodgy before replying.
