This is something if forgotten about, a few years ago i was coming home on the night bus from central london with a friend. There was a lot fo traffic heading out and as the bus was going up Regent Street various people on the bus noticed this odd couple. I've never paid for social time. Well, London is a big place, and my job puts me in contact with all sorts of people - young, old, Brits, foreigners - with any one of whom I could feasibly have to go to John Lewis to buy props.  So the risk isn't as great as it sounds.  All that said, I'm probably not paranoid enough and could use a bit more caution.
