Driving in Nottingham a few days ago going to a meet had to drive through the market square, having not been to that area for a few years , tram lines all over  the place did notice no cars but too late, today. Received. a  ANPR  notice complete with pictures  and a £ 60 fine driving in a bus lane ,paid on line straight away lucky I was home when the mail came ,consolation £30  because I paid straight away, am normally very careful  when I am away on a meet just shows how easy it is to be horny and careless ,

Indeed it is easy, I have my car registered at a different address to where I live so tickets etc would go their fortunately but I try to be as careful as possible, also very carefully checking parking information.

This is why some punters will visit only WGs whose place is accessible by public transport.

I hope you didn't ask for a receipt!  :scare:

one of my golden rules - only punt where I have an excuse to be!!

I very rarely use the car to punt, prefer the train and other means of public transport.
A mate of mine ended up having a costly divorce and all because he entered a box junction at a place he shouldn't have been.  :scare:

Yep, rocket science this game ain't  :hi:

I got a parking ticket once because it was raining and in a rush to get to my warm hot escort girl I didn't notice that my parking ticket had blown onto my seat.

The talkative attendant explained that I could appeal in writing but of course I didn't bother and just paid over the phone before going home.

I nearly got caught out by the exact same thing a few weeks ago, but the letter was in my wife's name!

Gutted I couldn't appeal it though. I only moved into the bus lane when I realised I was going left at the junction ahead and as I was 'walled in' by artics I couldn't see the sign until I'd changed lane. Their little video showed this clearly.

Yup this is also my main rule, makes the whole experience much more relaxed!!!

no receipts are issued , paid by card my own card , no paper statements so everything covered I hope  :

Offline happyend

Got caught speeding (36mph FFS) the other week - made me think that that something this simple could happen anytime, and as said previously made me think about always having an excuse to be in the area.
(Next month's excuse will be visiting a neighbouring town on a speed awareness course  ;) )

In London the paranoid punters use a punting-oyster (a second transport payment card). Oyster leaves a paper trail!
