This all sounds rather tawdry except LMP, compared with Cynthia Payne's gatherings in Streatham, Windermere Avenue I think it was. The best events were the 'bunk-up' nights the evening before the party when regulars were invited to assignments with ladies from out of town who had arrived. A sort of warm up session. The ratio was such that quite often FFM sessions were available. i still fondly recall two youngsters from South Wales, one petite and slim and the other enormous, the three of us entangled like yin and yang. The small one was prim and proper and the large one was velvet draped hippy but they were old school mates.
The daytime events were well adjusted for numbers, I never counted. You came in, paid your cash and received luncheon vouchers. one per lady. Tea cakes and fried eggs and toast I remember was the afternoon fare. Most encounters were upstairs but some exhibitionists performed in the lounge. This went on for ages and ages until one bunk up night old bill walked in. The men were not targeted, even the ladies were left to go, it was Aunty Cyn they were after.
Which leads me to think how come Lady Marm carries on, who does who know or who has she bribed? I am sure that there were coppers as well as lawyers and vicars at Cynthia's.
Anyone else here was there?
