Do you feel differently about handing over £50/£60 for a punt against paying say £40 for a shirt. I don't bat an eyelid at the punt fee, but seriously consider pricing of normal things. Is this a punting "normal" feeling ?

Personally I don't feel different as I try to get value for money in everything.

But it is only punting where I get regarded as a cheapskate for it. And seen in a negative light.

But on gaming forums for example when I switch my region of my Xbox One and turn on my VPN just to buy a digital game from Russia for £19 due to their economy going down the pan. When in the UK its £60 for that same game, and then give tips on how to do it. Everyone regards this as being a money saving hero.

My thoughts we are customers, it is in our interests to get value for money and the most we can for it. People that just hand over £100 and get next to nothing in return are the ones causing the problems in this industry.

Well I went to House of Fraser today and they had a huge sale on so I got 2 Lacoste polo shirts for £100, good deal but they won't make me smile half as much as an hour with Sarah Jane. There again I will last longer in the polo shirt !!

BOTTOM LINE, is we all love a bargain.............  :yahoo: :yahoo:

Be it in our punting world, or the retail shopping world, Cars, Clothes whatever

However we are all different, some go for what's on offer at the set price, others will barter for a cheaper deal.

Its "The Nature of the Beast" within us...............We are who we are!!!!!!!!!!  :drinks: :drinks: :drinks:

Well personally I always go for the best quality you can get without being daft with your spending. Not desperately bothered about brands it's always is the quality any good with me.

So following that through very happy with my regular WG who is top quality   and for those who haven't picked up my favorite is Tori Taylor  :yahoo:

Same as AnthG I want VFM as I see it in all things apart from when I decide to splash the cash on occasion. I certainly wouldn't pay £40 and in my case more than £20 tops for a shirt, I have no interest in designer stuff so just buy decent stuff.

There no correlation, between price and quality, when it comes to W/G (IMO).  I've punted a few (W/G) priced @ £150+ PH that were far worse than some £60 P/H in terms of service and attitude. Beauty is very subjective and ranks lower than service and attitude when I punt. So, its down to what a punter considers true VFM.

I would by an item clothing, if it was on sale for £10 or £20 if normally priced @ £40 + but only if what I want to spend £10 - £20 that day on an item. Like most things I set an amount and only go over it, if I feel it provides me with VFM

Absolutely right and I hope punters especially newbie punters aren't sucked in thinking that there is a correlation. What makes a good or bad WG is their attitude, NOT what they happen to charge.

Yes so would I as that would be VFM as I saw it. I bought half a dozen decent t-shirts for £6 each from Sports Direct the other day, good enough for me but as I said I have no interest in designer stuff or indeed branded stuff like Nike etc. I watch my son waste his money on that crap.

Same here, I have a few item from Sports Direct. Don't see the need to spent £20 for 2 tee shirts (nike branded) vs 3 or 4 Lonsdale ones. That I'm going to get sweaty in down the gym.

I gave my mam more money towards a new laptop than I've ever spent on a punt. Woman who raised me with love versus a cum dump - no contest.
