Author Topic: Most common former profession of WGs before they went 'on the game'  (Read 2805 times)

Offline Jeff_withpetersen

I seem to have met a fair number of WGs who say they used to be nurses or in some kind of caring profession, does this experience tally with others? Is it a typical believable horseshit thing for WGs to say to avoid much further conversation or is likely that quite a few nurses think 'I'm getting more intimate than I'd like with people I don't know and experiencing all kinds of squick for £500 a week, I could make that in a day if I agreed to step aboard the HO train' ... which is a thought process that won't happen if they're a barmaid, receptionist or whatever?

Offline the bloody butterfly

I know a former nurse who quit the profession to work in a Jobcentre! Less stressful and better hours to fit in family time were the reasons. The NHS has trouble retaining nurses hence the huge influx of foreign staff.

Offline Daffodil

My belief is that it's just typical prossie bullshit.

It's just the first thing they think of (if asked to name a job on "Family Fortunes" I'd imagine nurse would come highly) and it's a job most of us have a reasonable idea of what's involved day-to-day so easier to continue the bullshit.

Offline RedKettle

i know one wg who is a nurse and does punting between shifts to boost income - but frankly she is clearly a cut above your average wg and I would not generally believe it.  Many may have been carers in homes, very little qualification etc needed for that job.  (Which is not to run down that job - tough work from crap pay.)

Offline stevedave

I've met a couple of "nurses"...yeah, I'm tempted to believe them. In that line of work, you have to be open minded and pretty unshockable, used to various liquids and secretions etc!

I can imagine the attraction of being a WG, as nurses are seriously underpaid for what they do, and working unsociable hours won't be a shock to the system.

There used be a girl from Epsom that gave blow jobs in the woods, she was a nurse

I guess we all do a little dance when we meet to keep the wheels turning but generally avoid divulging too much personal information. I've been a roof thatcher, thespian (I allegedly played Richard Harris' son in Wild Geese) and fired out of a cannon in a circus, to name but a few. I've heard nurse/midwife mentioned a few times, likewise lap dancer (probably true). I've no idea if it's true or not

Wouldn't surprise me if a few had a carers/nursing background as the skills are transferable when applied to a WG's services.

Strong communication and listening skills
A genuine desire to help people
Physical and mental stamina
Compassionate and sensitive manner
Patience and empathy
The ability to remain calm under pressure
A flexible approach to work.

Other have worked in bars, casinos' and supermarkets.

I've met several nurses and ex-nurses, and I know enough about the medical profession to detect whether they are bullshitting or not. I've yet to meet one at whatever level who was. There was one I saw several times a few years ago who was doing a nursing degree and wrote a regular blog about it. Mostly they are girls who struggle to survive on the pittance they are paid and think, why not! Yes, the 'caring' professions form a large section of the prozzie community, but there are also lawyers, scientists, dancers and women with their own business that has got into a spot of trouble.

Do you really think prossies become prossies out of a "genuine desire to help people"?  :sarcastic:

They do it out of a desire to "earn" more money than they could ever hope to achieve in the real world. Often with few alternatives, even those that pay less.

A nurse tolerates bodily fluids and what not because they have the compassion to help people in their hours of need, not horny old men wanting to unload their nuts.

My view is that nursing is a career that carries a lot of respect, prostitution is not. Becoming a nurse requires a several year course of higher education, prostitution does not.

I imagine many nurses would be offended by the idea that their qualities are easily transferable to prostitution, no matter how empathic they are  :hi:

Exactly.  Many of the younger girls are students. A WG I've seen states on her AW page: " I have university on some days". A few other student WGs I've seen have stated a desire to enter teaching after graduation. However,  posters have made an excellent point-escorting is not the real world, as they get paid a ridiculously high aamount for an hours "work". It is also not exactly the type of job they can  put on their CV once they graduate.  Duties included:sucking guys penises and having intercourse with them  :D

I would say...depends.

A genuine desire to help unload 5 days worth of cum and sometimes, through post-coital chat, help explore how to get you off for round 2. That to me is very helpful and desirable.

Nursing/carer was used more to define the type of career a prossie could be suited to. To say a nurse/carer would make a good prossie...certainly in a role play for sure.

If they/anyone would take offence...here are some ideas to overcome that...

Going by the spelling on some of their ads, some of the girls would struggle in a normal workplace. Love to read their response to reviews. Gorgeous big cock, what a gentleman, cant wait till next time, yeah at £100-£150 an hour :dancegirl: :dancegirl:

Nurses or someone who does medical work are more believable as many work a on/off schedule. So they have a lot of spare time.

Well they all seem to be highly qualified with O Levels and A levels

.... oh, wait that means something else :D

If a pro$$ie tells you she's a nurse it usually means she's been to a hospital or the doctors,
If she tells you she knows the law it means she's been arrested
If she says she has a law degree it means she's been arrested a lot
If she says she was a teacher it means she went to school for at least a day

There are a few, and I mean a few, exceptions where they do either have a good job and want to supliment thier income or are students but the ones I know of I could count on one hand  :hi:

I have never asked, a lot of them say on their AW pages that they were strippers... if this is true, I would assume being a prossie is a lot better paid then?

A lot of the younger girls seem to be uni students / recently graduated, or straight out of college, even

I could believe stripper as one job. I remember going to a local lapdance bar with friends one time, it was my first time there and the girl that gave me a lapdance was a bit "full on" so to speak, biting my cock through my jeans and letting me slap her ass etc. I don't know if that's normal at other lapdance clubs, but i went to another in bournemouth and the woman gave me a naked lapdance with no touching or anything, so nothing like the dancer at my local lapdance bar. i think if i'd offered the former girl  an extra £80 she would have taken me home and fucked me.

If some of the lapdancers/strippers are this willing to please in the lower end lapdance bars, then maybe they would have no problem turning to fucking strangers for more than £10-£20 a dance. The last lapdance bar i went to, which was the one in bournemouth, there was one girl who came over, sat down and i was chatting to her, then i asked why she is doing lapdancing and she said it's to pay for a hairdressing course  :unknown:

On Plenty of Fish you can guarantee that the ones dressed like hookers are always nurses or carers. So maybe it's true.

I've been with a couple of nurses and air stewardesses but they were the exceptions.  Most WGS can't hold an intelligent conversation.  U can always tell the educated ones, as soon as the conversation goes any further than the "any holidays planned".

I have noticed that the nurses and carers that i've seen around tend to have bad skin. I don't know if that's a sign of plenty sex (maybe from prostituting) or maybe just a bad diet because shifts are long and arduous with little rest periods for good food..

Many are mothers, single, without the help of the absent father of their kids, needing the dosh even if they also enjoy the slap and tickle and social encounters. One can see from the type of housing and neighbourhood, and the furniture and bedding that they need the dosh. I am being realist, not fluffy. If they ever worked it might have been in a shop or as a cleaner or waitress.

I beg to differ, IMO to become a good prostitute takes a considerable amount of training and time also.
[ suppose there are ones who are naturally skilled at the job.

I knew two girls who genuinely had got degrees (but not very good ones); one of them got a reasonable job, but it didn`t pay for luxuries and she wanted a car, so for 6 months she fucked me every week until she`d saved up enough to buy one then she quit (she even brought the car to show me).

The other girl simply couldn`t get a job in her chosen profession that paid enough to live one so she became a pro$$ie just until the right job came along, but, of course, it never has, and even if it did she`d never earn the money she makes (and spends) as a pro$$ie, so, degree or no, and although she says she hates it, she`ll stay a pro$$ie.

Good at handjobs...

Without doubt, the best handjobs I've ever had have been from girls who said they were carers. However, the most common former profession I've heard is lapdancer /single mum (if the latter counts as a profession).
