A negative only because website clearly says there is onsite parking but there isn't.

With a villla match on, you won't find a single free place to park within 2 miles.

For me, this was a wasted 90 mile round trip.

I was taking a punt anyway, as this was a first time at TPD and i was taking a chance on a girl with no pictures on the website and no way of confirming prices of extras until i was in the room.

Think the punting gods are telling me to stay away from parlours!

We have parking outside our building but the villa supporters have parked in the spaces.   Parking has never been an issue for our customers i can only apologise.

You were coming from leicester to bham how does that make it a 90 mile round trip?

Plan plan plan.....oh and communication......that's all I have to say, and of course a bit unfair to give a negative review based on factors outside of TPD's control

Saying you have ONSITE PARKING gives a very clear message  that you have PRIVATE PARKING, which isn't actually available.

So that is total in their control.

So a negative in the circumstances i thimk is justified.

Google Maps shows a 86 mile round trip from the centre of leicester to Aston, so I think the OP is right on the money and I do find it distasteful that you keep questioning it, as if to prove a point?

But on the balance of fairness, If I had a 90 mile round-trip planned for a punt...I'd do some bloody research first and not award a Negative review based on the fact that I didn't have the brains to call the place and make a booking, then go grab a bite to eat and wait for the game to finish and the fans to disperse

Who phones ahead to book a punt in a massage parlour?

As for parking the Pleasuredome website quotes

At Pleasure Dome Birmingham we get loads of requests about parking and the ladies ask is there parking,
The Pleasure Dome Birmingham has its own car park so its easy no messing around trying to find change for the meter or if you decide to while away more time theres no risk of a fine, its really simple.

Obviously not on match days.

You questioned the mileage so I replied.  Nothing to do with being annoyed, is that?

Am I expected to publish in a public forum my full home address so you can check the mileage? Will I then have to also show a recent bill plus my picture driving licence to prove I live there and not just picked a random address 45 miles away?

Few points in reply:

I did call ahead in fact. 3 times.  First time I got not answer (I even posted about it in TPD thread).  Second time to check exactly who was on shift and ask about extras. And third time as I left home to check again, confirm I was coming and even what time I would be there.

Only thing I didn't confirm was if the on site parking actually a truth or a little white lie.

It would never occur to me to check that, when it is a prominent feature of the website, especially the mobile version.

And finally, why would you assume I would have the time to wait for the match to be over and cars to disperse?

I didn't realised you called and stand corrected, but I assumed that if you were prepared to do a 2 hr round trip, plus time in the parlour, that waiting until the game to finish was preferable to the option you took of time and petrol wasted ?

That's part of the problem though. Having to already set aside 2.5 - 3 hours means there is actually less leeway time.  Hence I made the extra effort to actually call as I left.

I even made reference to what time my sat nav said I would reach, to give TPD further assurance I wouldn't be a no show.

Not that it should be relevant but I did have to be elsewhere afterwards, so I didn't wait.

Anyway, I've told TPD I am prepared to give them another chance and I will personally make sure there is no match or major event on the next time I come and that I would also only come if I am in the area anyway, so it's not a specific trip to TPD.  So if it goes all tits up again, time wasted is minimised.

Any other venues around that part of Birmingham that might affect parking.  I am intending to visit TPD, not having to travel far but still don't want the parking problem.

Sanjman quotes ..........'with a Villa match on you will not find a parking space within two miles'

What a load of bollocks. TPD's location is is hardly on top of Villa Park......bit of cruising would soon have found you a parking spot.(and maybe a cheaper punt :D)

Who would drive that distance and be prepared to drive back without hunting around for five minutes. dont sound right to me!

Well i visited Pleasuredome on a Match Day and there was still spaces to be found in the road about 40 minutes before kick off and its about a 10 to 15 minute stroll to the ground from there but the OP was probably just unlucky

Think this should be a neutral. OP is understandably upset as 90 miles is a long round trip and pleasure dome should perhaps be clearer about the parking situation.

However, pleasure dome can't be blamed if people park in their spaces who shouldn't be and I doubt would want to employ a clamping company as it would probably bring unwanted attention.

My advice to OP is always check in Birmingham or Leicester if their is a football match on and if there is steer well clear as traffic and parking will be a nightmare, same in Derby and Nottingham. No matter how horny you are or how amazing the girl is, there is nothing more annoying then match day traffic.

If you must punt on a match day, Coventry is the place to go as they seem to have the blue print of avoiding match day problems with the traffic. There is no problem at all you will happily drive into and out of the city even right by the ground and not get stuck at all.

Offline Denhamhoop

Probably helps the ground isn't actually in Coventry :P

Nobody parked in TPD's spaces because TPD don't have their own car park.  That's the whole point of this discussion.

Seems grossly unfair to give anything less than a positive. The OP just couldn't be arsed to drive around a bit. The fact that TPD has a limited amount of private parking is a bonus not a prerequisite to get punished by if the spaces are taken..... iMHO

To repeat myself for the umpteenth time - what limited private parking space? There are no private parking spaces.  So no one can take spaces are there are none.

And how do you know how long I drove around for? We're you hiding in my boot? Do you have a GPS tracker fitted to my car?

why should he give a positive? the pd website states they have a private car park this is very clearly a lie.  a neutral would be more appropriate in my view but i didn't spend time driving around looking for a space.

from the pictures on the pd website the women here are either young skinny skanks   inc romanians or old fat women. go elsewhere!
