It's a nice idea but I think organising it with no previous experience will be a steep learning curve - LMP had decades of experience but they foundered in Manchester after only a few months. Due, I understand, to local rivals swamping the booking line with fake bookings.

It's the same in civvy life: parties are great fun - but only if someone else is organising them

I've done a couple of fuck club parties. I enjoyed them but the ratio of men to women is higher meaning you couldn't afford to hang around and be curtious as somebody else would beat you to it if you snoozed. But they're pretty cheap so you can't complain.
I met Natalie Kateri at the last one and she was nice. She's down as being half Indian but I don't think she is. Somebody told me she was half Italian in which is more believable

Theres one major problem that will never go away and thats making the finances stack up.

So lets say the minimum ratio that would be acceptable is 4 guys to 1 girl therefore a 3 girl party would need 12 guys.

Lets say its a 2 hour party and you charged £100 each that brings in £1200 and then lets say 30% to cover the hostess, venue, food, drink, advertising/promotion and finally profit so that takes up £400 of the £1200 leaving £800 to pay the 3 girls and i.m sure you.ll agree £266 for an afternoons work isnt going to attract the girls with the best reputations.

A way we got round this was to run two parties on the same day one at say 2 till 4pm and then another at say 5.30 till 7.30pm to appeal to the guys who cant get off work and obviously  £520 for 6 hours work does look a little more attractive than the single party option.

But this in itself leads to other problems in that you have to take no shows into account and over sell  (we used to sell 14 places for a 12 place party knowing full well that a couple wouldnt turn up despite having paid the deposit ) but that means you have to employ a hostess who is at least willing to fluff if not perform if all 14 did turn up which leads to an increased cost but thats covered by an extra £150 of income.

But that in itself was the major problem finding the best part of 30 guys who could all get away from work on a Thursday afternoon maybe using the likes of UKP  to promote them would make things a little easier thats assuming promoting them on here wouldnt be against the sites T and C.

That then takes you on to the thorny subject of a deposit we used to charge 25% and yes we had a method of payment that was secure, discreet and simple for both sides but took a little explaining to potential customers and put off a few who thought they could just say "yeah i.m coming" and then just rock up ( or more likely not ) which i.m sure you can see from above simply wouldnt work but all in all we thought we.d arrived at a pretty good system.

The major problem for us was what happened when a day didnt produce the amount of projected income we tried to operate a system where everyone to a pro rata loss  but that didnt go down well with the girls ( the major item of expenditure ) and the other option is that the organisers take the hit which is why a lot of party operations fold after a couple of tries because its fairly obvious no one is going to carry on knowing there could well be another day of not only no profit but in all likelihood a loss.

So all in all i hope that sheds a bit of light on the difficulties of organising a paid party for you and if anyone is seriously thinking of giving it a go i would be happy to offer any experience or advice that i can and for what its worth my opinion the way to make it work would be to hire 3 of the very best girls available and make the parties the best there is to the point where you could charge £200 for a 3 hour party do 2 of those in a day and i think you can start to make the numbers stack up.

I believe that is what the Phoenix Club does. In their case, the girls know they will make up what they lose on one quiet party at the next busy one,  so they don't mind too much.

But you're right - party organising sounds on paper like a brilliant way to make easy money but the reality is quite different
