In my reviews on AW, the word "gentleman" keeps recurring. It's code for "oldish plain guy who doesn't smell, is polite, pays promptly and isn't a complete berk", right?

Pretty much, 'sweet' and 'lovely' are ones that I've had which I take the same way.

I disagree. I think there is a major difference between a nice guy and a gentleman. James Bond is considered a gentleman.

Absolutely. I get 'gentleman' or 'gent' too (never 'gentlemans' luckily) but more than half of my feedback also uses the word 'lovely', which is I think WG shorthand for 'doesn't slobber all over you while kissing or use his teeth during RO'. I did have 'mindblowing' once which I tried very hard to take with a pinch of salt but can't deny it made me feel fantastic.

James Bond is considered a gentleman.

James Bond is a psychopath who enjoys bespoke tailoring.

This is spooky .. I was talking to a WG the other day about feedback and said how I was always called a "gentleman" so she avoided using the word in her feedback. I thought that was a nice touch.

Offline freddiej

I get the "gentleman" and "lovely" a lot in my feedback.  I always assumed it was code for "getting on a bit" and " mostly harmless".

I'd rather have something a bit more raunchy.

I've got a couple of 'handsome' comments in mine  :kissgirl:

but I am f**king ugly, even without my 'orgasm face'

Will 'google translate' tell us what they really mean ?   :sarcastic:

Prior to letting my AW profile lapse the majority of my feedback had gentleman within it, personally I like to think that's because I am but if all it means is that I'm clean, old & easily pleased then that's fine by me.

Offline Mr Br1ghts1de

I had "gentle man" once from a EE girl. I teased her about it as I didn't think I was too gentle when I took her up the arse  She put "gentleman" after our 2nd meet.

No shit OP, good for you, but there is far more to being a gentleman than that.  Just, as I'm sure you already are, be nice to WGs in future.  Assume they could be your sister or your mum answering the messages when you phone them up, and assume they could be your long lost sister, or even your mother, when you're fucking them hard like a dirty slut, because you were a gent and you got them to ask to be treated like a dirty slut before you did so.  Act classy.  Bam, you've uncovered the secret to being a gentleman.

I think you guys are looking into this too much. I get feedback like "Amazing/Lovely guy, clean, polite, smelt fresh, welcome back any time" and I normally put something like "Beautiful woman, excellent service provider, highly recommend". It's just being polite and building rapport for both parties.

If she did call you a "a sexy stud, handsome hunk or prolific pornstar" you'll think she's taking the piss.

I've had a 'nice guy x x'

That was all.  Nice? What the fuck is 'nice'? 'Nice' is just so fucking insipid and non-descriptive. Danish pastries are 'nice'.

'Polite lovely man etc' and 'Lovely man...etc' from the same girl. I must not have been so polite the second time. Can't remember.  :unknown:

'Very lovely sexy gentleman' ... Now you're talking, but 'gentleman'? Really? Must have been the way I said, 'Make me cum in your mouth then snowball me. Please.'.

'Clean & friendly..Respects you blah blah blah.' Well, if you're reading this, so you were you...and I definitely respected the way you took it in the mouth. Then spat it on the carpet, because, 'That was really a lot'. And the way you wiped it off the carpet with a towel. Classy. I must get round to doing a review of this one.

And last but by no means least..... 'Brilliant nipple-kisser ;)'

It's all a load of old bollocks, really, but for some reason, my last three punts have asked me to make an AW booking, as well as on the phone. So, you know, 'Chwaraewch y gêm', as they say.

Now then OP, you've got us checking our feedback. From over 30 feedback, I've only ever been referred to as a 'Gent' once.

I have been referred to as a 'Guy' eleven times, which makes me feel kind of manly.

Not really sure what you can read into it though.

Idle curiosity got the better of me so did a quick analysis (same number as tcm)

Gentleman: 46%
Man:  11%
Guy:   14%
No Reference (!): 29%

I'll get my coat.   :D

Offline Boundless

An interesting thread although probably says more about the types of WG that we see rather than a reflection on us.
For what it's worth, my results from about 30 feedbacks.

Guy               44%
Man              18%
Gent             11%
Gentleman     7%
No reference  7%
Hunni            4%
Gentle giant   4%
Baby sitter     4% (Don't ask!)

Last 3 were 1 each, fairly obviously.

Offline Bangers and Gash

I don't really bother with the AW system so have little feedback, but I've have called a ''gentleman'' in one - I was slightly insulted at the time because I took it to mean; steady, safe and easy money.

On the upside, I have directly been called many things, like; filthy bastard, kinky bastard, filthy fucker, pervert and a dirty cunt, usually as they're on the receiving end of a serious pounding.  :D

 :hi:

Offline Marmalade

Bespoke tailoring or not, the James Bond class is not someone that is likely to be calling an AW slapper for a quick shag. 'Gentleman' to her probably means clean, reasonably polite, pays and fucks off. A real gentleman never has to use the word in reference to himself in conversation, only to others.

Offline anonyorks

"Had an amazing time with a really caring, witty, attractive, confident guy with a very sexy smile :)"

I've had 'Gentleman' a lot, too, also, in a twist, 'Gentleman pervert' which made me laugh! nearly became me new user-name! a lot of 'Horny' which, I would hope everyone is if they visit a working girl. 'Will treat you like a princess', I haven't fathomed that one yet, 'ladies, he's tall and handsome' I am neither, but I saw it was a cut 'n' paste to a few of us from the same girl. Oh, yeah, my favourite, 'the sweetest guy on this site by a mile' which, actually really cheered me up! because it was from a favourite AW girl, honest, it did.   :D

Slightly off topic, but can someone define a ''lady'' then (those that think ''has mouth, tits and cunt'' need not apply)?

I really think that this lis all being over thought.

Lets put it this way, you are grateful that you have got positive  feedback  from a WG, Some can't be assed.

If you were her, describing someone as a Gentleman, is an easy term, that conjours up an image, always positive.

And saves her time in thinking of more accurate appropriate adjective e, its  an easy simple description, which  is unlikely to put off any other girls from seeing you, and thats the purpose of the feedback, is it not?

If you interpret that as being boring  and plain, then thats your vision, probably not hers!

BTW I have some "Gentleman" description, but one added Kinky, now I  think that is in my opinion a good description of me, and one i am more than happy with!

Please, please, don't tell me she said 'Nice person  x x'.

That would be so awful, I think I'd give it all up.

My grandmother (yes, it's true) tole me when I wuz a kid, that the definition of a gentleman was a man who gets out of the bath to pee.

I'm not going to tell you whether I have earned that accolade or not.

Gents: A patronising term that some prostitutes use to refer to punters, as it (allegedly) appears polite.
