I have a friend (cough splutter) who sometimes has problems keeping it up due to Prescsription Meds, would Viagra help his once proud and upstanding slef again?

Depends on what the medication is for, if it's a heart condition got to check with your doctor first. Even if it's not don't be mixing anything till you've spoken to GP!

That is why I take it. I take beta blockers and it has an unfortunate side effect effect onto this. I am guessing you are taking the same?

Go to Asda, pick up the leaflet outside on ED. Ask the pharmacist if you can speak to him about this. You will be ushered to the side room they normally do the flu injections, a few quick questions on what medication you are taking and you will leave with a private prescription of Sildenafil - its the generic form of Viagra. For around £10 for 4 tablets. Get 100mg tablets and cut them in half to make 8 x 50mg which will be more than good enough and reduce the chances of bad side effects from them.

Quick mention, if the tablets you are taking are nitrate based. You cannot take it.

Pharmacist is good enough, they are experts in drugs and interactions between them (once my GP prescribed a drug to me, and the pharmacist actually stopped the prescription, phoned my GP to challenge it, due to negative interactions with another drug I was already taking and thus it needed to be changed to something else). Pharmacists know their stuff.

Sorry I should have been a littlemore clearer, the meds he is taking are not for his heart but for his mood shall we say.

If they are for your mood then likely you are meaning SSRIs. If so there are actually drugs that mix viagra with SSRIs, as SSRIs can help with premature ejaculation. (Google for info on the drug Super P-Force to see what I mean).

If it was me I would just show the ED form to the pharmacist and say you are having this issue. Don't say you think the anti depressants are causing it as he will just say, go back to your GP and get another type of anti depressants.

So just say you are experiencing this problem. But do tell him you are taking this Anti depressants for the pharmacist to determine if they will go ok with the viagra.

Go talk to the GP, £8.50 for 12x100mg tablets on a three month repeat and a private script for any more you may need, by far the easiest way to go.

Sorry to butt in (Great advice by the way Anth).

I am running out of my supplies - which are non prescription.  Is that price from Asda recent? Just Lloyds online quote a lot more for 100mg tabs (£24 for 4 x50mg tabs of Sildenafil). But ten quid or so is pretty reasonable.

It seems to be asda specific, and likely where they got their generics from and for how much.

Some people have posted on the forums that from Asda they have got them for £2.30 a pack of 4. Others have said they have paid £6 for a pack of 4. And others £10 for 4.

I think - depending on where you are in Newcastle, but either Benton or the Metro centre Asda's would be the best bet for a good price.

Here is a post from last year where people were saying they were paying £2.50 for 4 at Asda

Cheers for that.  Still have a few left...but will check it out when I need to re-supply.  I could try docs (I am over 60 so free prescriptions) but a) would need to show her latest advice on that side on prescribing the stuff and b) dont really want it on my record

Is it safe to say that people who do not have a problem downstairs still take the drug to enhance their performance shall we say. If so does it do just that ?

Some say you can have an erection longer. I haven't found that (although I just take a half dose to get hard). I have heard it's hard to ejaculate - which may be a good or bad thing. But reading reports it depends which version you take (there are three or four) and it affects people in different ways.

I realise this post is no bloody help at all

It is quite famous as a recreational drug that many students and the like take out with them drinking with them on a Friday night, I am not suggesting that means its safe. As students also take Ecstasy and the like. But just mentioning it.

I have heard there is also something you can use to pump up your cock for a short time and it makes it look bigger too. An escort told me about it that she had a punter bring one in when he struggles sometimes.

Thanks

I was just asking because i am not on any medication, lucky to be quite healthy i think. But if would turn me into some kind of "ram rod" it might be worth picking some up because like you say, its cheap and easier to do so these days.
I suppose as i mainly do short punts, i might be wasting my time or consider longer sessions less often.

It is worth taking Viagra even if you are not suffering from ED, many people do this and I am one of them. So long as you can take on board the slight side effects (feeling of dehydration for me) then the benefits far outweigh.

Think of it this way, if there is a sliding scale of erections with one end being limp and the other end being iron hard to the extent that it aches with a whole host of erections in the middle then taking viagra helps you get to the hard end quite easily. The younger you are the easier it is to be on the hard end of the scale without assistance and in effect, viagra brings back some of those younger days. Contrary to myth, you don't walk around for 48hrs with a boner.

I often find that I perform faster and harder also, perhaps it is a mental thing when taking it.

Another alternative is a cock ring which keeps the blood in place and assists with an erection.

Well rodgercock, unless your a rep for the drug makers i think you have convinced me.

No harm that i can see in giving it a try.

With a name like that i doubt you lack any confidence though mate  ;)

To be honest what I would recommend is also drinking Watermelon and Pomegranate juice.  Or just eating watermelons and pomegranates. Its not anecdotal advice too. There is science behind it. Here is a recent news article on it.

External Link/Members Only

There are a million and one videos on youtube recommending it too

e.g External Link/Members Only

Water Melon in particular is very good for you as it helps lower blood pressure and can work wonders. As an example my father had quite bad varicose veins on his legs for many years, that nothing but he was told surgery would remove. I suggested he drink watermelon juice. After a few months of drinking it each day. They were totally gone.

Check with your GP or Pharmacist to see if it's OK to drink this along with a dose of Viagra. I say this because when my GP tried me on Ciallis he warned me not to drink Grapefruit Juice, because it could cause adverse side effects. I'm back on 'generic Viagra' (Sildenafil) now and it works fine for me. It sometimes affects my ability to come, but I don't complain about that.

Is it LBM syndrome you suffer from?  :hi:

Gents, Can I just turn up at Asda and ask for the wee blue pills or do I need a script from the doc? I've never used Viagra but have used Cialis but it works out at about £10  a pill from LLoyds online. Pedro.

I've never used it I(I'm 62) but I do use Cialis from Lloyds online but it works out at about £10 a pill when you buy 16 so it isn't cheap. Viagra is now out of patent whereas Cialis is not. The consequent fall in the price of Viagra should have some effect but how much we don't yet know. Eli Lilley are hanging on to the. Pedro.ir profit cow understandably

I get mine free because I'm over 60. I pick up a repeat prescription from the surgery and walk into the Loyds Pharmacy next door. They started giving me the generic version when Viagra came off patent but most times now I get the branded version. It might be psychological but I reckon the original works best for me.
