Basildon area hotels

Looking for a bit of local knowledge.

I'll be looking for a hotel in or close to Basildon this weekend and given the opportunity would like to mix business with pleasure. If anyone has knowledge of which hotels are girl friendly or even better, which hotels the touring prossies frequent it would be great if you could let me know.

By PM of course, rather than on the open board.

I never visit hotels but on the one occasion I was going to see Maggie21 at Hotel Campanile in Basildon, but on the day of the punt she got escorted off the premises by the hotel staff, true or false I don't know. The hotel has outbuilding rooms and is cheap.

I got nowhere in the end, looking for a last minute booking on a Sunday evening was a fruitless task, didn't help that I got to the area later than expected.
