Hi FGS.. I lived in Tenerife for 3 years and worked as a waitress in a bar in Las Americas. During this time, I spoke to many male tourists that had been ripped off by prostitutes and even witnessed a street walker entice a man down a side street where he was met by her pimp, assaulted and robbed. Many of the prostitutes there are trained pick-pockets and thieves that will take full advantage of drunk holiday-makers. The loyalty of the police is very biased towards locals so don't expect there to be any investigations. The services you receive (if any) are likely to be extremely poor as they have 0 interest in your return custom. I would avoid Tenerife for punting and treat yourself when you get home. x
Agreed, you don't want to be messing with streetwalkers. The clubs in Las Americas had a very poor offering and were asking €180ph.
There are some well-reported indies in the towns in the North and the going rate is around €100ph, but Spanish is likely to be useful for these.
Katie's right, if you're on holiday and you don't get lucky with a Finnish civvie...or an English barmaid...best wait 'til you get home!
