As a long time lurker , I have noticed an increasing tendency for reviews to be written in the style of stories I used to read in magazines like Mayfair or Penthouse when I was at school.

Maybe I am in the minority, but what I am looking for in a review is basic information on an escort's service level , so that I can decide whether or not to spend some of my hard earned £££ on her.

I do not want a graphic blow by blow account of who put what where.Surely there are plenty of other sites available where that sort of titillation is available ?

Some of them are a bit too salacious, but sometimes it leads to unintentionally hilarious reviews like this one

This has been discussed several times. It's very much a personal preference,  people write in whichever manner suits them. If you don't like the style of a particular writer, don't read them :unknown:  It would be incredibly boring if everybody wrote in the same format in my opinion.

At least some of the longer review writers often put a summary at the top which tells you the basic information you're looking for. No need to read the rest at all.

Personally speaking,  "who put what where" if honestly described,  tells me a lot more about the attitude of a WG. For example "she demanded I fuck her arse and put 4 fingers in her pussy while licking out the other girl and rimming her" tells me more than "Anal and bi services as per her likes list were offered to a high standard with enthusiasm"

Agreed, it's up to the reviewer how he decides to write it. Nobody is forced to read it. Pick out the info that you need and gloss over what you think ain't relevant.

I can understand why the OP feels that some reviews come across as pornographic

I find these type of reviews very useful, not to get a cheap thrill from them though.

I find it useful to see what services were participated in how they were delivered and why they were great or poor with examples to quantify the punters opinion.

That is where a more descriptive review is beneficial

I suppose the main reasons that I don't post many reviews,(one so far  :( ) is that I don't regard myself as very good at it. I'll only do it if it's a previously unmentioned girl or if I think I can add something that was different in my experience. I wouldn't criticise at all to be honest as I think good or bad, they are the most useful part of UKP.
The master though has to be Kundalini.....I've said it before but I'm hoping he eventually writes a book !

' reviews to be written in the style of  STORIES I used to read in magazines like Mayfair or Penthouse when I was at school.'

They were fiction ..but a review by a UKP member is fact !!! (or should be ).

I like it when a review is entertaining - as well as informative .....As somebody has said ,-without a  bit of descriptive narrative you might as well make the review pages a 'tick the box ' form ...CIM.. tick....Looked like her photos ... tick ....clean venue ... tick   etc .. etc ..

Whist some people can waffle a bit (I have been accused of verbal diahorrea myself ! ) you can pick out the parts that you think are relevant to your decision whether the girl interests you ...As you have said , if you want titillation , then you go elsewhere .

However , words can be powerful ...I can remember emailing the gorgeous Leticia to ask if she did OWO  as it wasn't clear on her profile . After confirming she did OWO ,the email went on to say ' ..just bring your clean cock ...xx ' ...I had this phrase in my mind all the way to the punt !

We are punters who try to recap on a booking, some try to tell it in a story like tale, others are succinct and to the point, its all a matter of facts with some details that the punter thinks are important.

We try to encourage reviews as we all want details, that's why they are all important if they are factual.

+1.  I'm looking for a particular type of experience, either GFE or MGIADSE, never pure PSE.  The more descriptive a review the better I can see if I might get what I'm after.  I write reviews the way I like to read reviews.

I had mixed feedback early on - some that my reviews were overlong and too fluffy, others that they really liked my long review style so I rapidly switched to a summary up front and clearly marked "fluffy bit" so you can pick and choose or read both it's up to the reader.

I'd agree with that .

I'd also say that some of the contributors on this Forum are really very good at writing up their experiences ,putting many Penthouse writers to shame  :D

This was discussed quite recently in a thread encouraging more reviews. The general consensus was that anything from a few lines to a mini story was acceptable. You can always choose not to read reviews from reviewers whose style you don't like.

I must say I enjoy reading long reviews (like yours :drinks:), they give much more detail about what the girl is capable of. :hi:

What is MGIADSE btw?

I for one do actually enjoy writing in all its forms, but especially when I’m penning a script for a role-play I have in mind. I do however always try and strike an even balance between informative and descriptive for my reviews I post on here. While I have no fear of a blank page and will happily pen a 2,000+ word review in an hour, I understand completely that others either cannot be bothered or do not have the time or the capacity one way or another to make similar contributions.

The great thing about UKP is that we’re each researcher, word smith, sub editor and editor in chief of our own reviews. Punting is fun, and providing you had fun punting why not make it a fun punt to read about

I’m totally against imposing a word count as has been suggested previously. AW sets a 150 word count on its field report option and you often read lazy reports full of repeated ...

“AW CRITERIA, of having to put down more than 150 words comes into play”
“AW CRITERIA, of having to put down more than 150 words comes into play”

Be a shame if UKP reviews were blighted with the same rubbish.

My Girlfriend is a Dirty Slut Experience - One of Q's, not a common abbreviation.

Anyway I'm another that prefers reading longer, but factual reviews, and I prefer to write them that way. From now on I will always do a tldr; version first though.

I appreciate all reviews. From the simple ones that prove a girl is real and won't rip me off, to the detailed ones that give me ideas for future punt activities.

10/10 d00fer! I differentiate between PSE and MGIADSE.  I'm looking for the perfect fake/paid date - that elusive impossible girlfriend who is sensual, seductive but also a total whore in the bedroom.  For me though that should never feel like a jarring transition from "GFE mode to PSE mode" where suddenly she's moaning and groaning and spitting on your cock, it should feel natural - just like a girlfriend who is a genuine dirty slut.

There are definitely only a handful of WG's I've found who can genuinely pull this off. Lots of great GFE's and PSE's and even girls who can do both independently, but only a few can really make it feel like a GFE that just turns delightfully filthy.  :D

I agree about word limits and from being a member on another forum where WGs can opt out of receiving any reviews and links arent allowed to be included on A/W WGs the great thing here is its up to the punter what he does and the reivew is interactive.

Entirely up to a punter what he posts and how long his review is, personally i dont get the concept of what i see as bragging by some as punting isnt pulling, anyone with the cash can punt, but again i wouldnt want to see restrictions placed, but thats obviously up to admin to decide.
