In the animal world it's known that the male of many species will go to enormous lengths to get his end away, even accepting certain death sometimes.
I'm now at a point in life where I'm no longer controlled quite so heavily by my little brain, there was a time when I would drive literally half way across the country for a good shag, but I don't have that dedication anymore. To my shame, while a very young and horny man, I drove while completely pissed just to get my end away, I still shiver about doing that even today. There is a quote that I first heard attributed to George Melly that "losing his libido was like being unchained from a madman" although it apparently actually goes back to Socrates.
I still look in here every day and I have a few girls on my hot list that I'll try to go out of my way to see but I no longer have the inclination to jump through hoops just to meet a girl that may or may not disappoint, despite her reputation.
I know that many on here describe losing their mojo from time to time and the advice is often to leave it alone for a bit. I think that I'm beyond this stage. I had a health incident last year that combined with another major change in my life has conspired to reduce my desire and I've woken up and looked in the mirror and an ugly old man looks back at me and I can no longer trick myself that I'm desirable. I've never considered myself attractive, nor have I had a problem using my resources (cash) to fuck sexy young girls, it's a transaction where we both get what we want. But something has changed.
It's made me think, I now go through my day without the almost constant thought of who to shag and this means that I can actually concentrate on my work and I get a tremendous amount done. This has made me wonder just what I could have achieved in life if I hadn't been distracted by pussy all the time. I can also comprehend how the dutiful wife who, having done her job of producing children, completely loses interest in the physical side of the marriage and joins the local sewing circle.
Am I alone or can others on here relate to this? Or are you all too young to understand?
