So sad and at such a young age, hopefully we get answers.  Hopefully it just  tragic accident, but then parents would need to explain, how a three year old boy got here, who was watching Noah

It was said he was with a family member who might have been a grandparent and then he ran off. By the time the family member got to where he was last seen he must have run off again. That family member will be truly devastated.

We had a similar thing happen with a female relative she had a boy around 3 and half years old who was autistic and she was in a crowded shopping centre and he was there one moment and gone the next. Very fortunastly there was a security guard close by he radioed their control to try to get some staff on the doors. They didnt have enough staff to do that but fortnanatley there were shop staff from a few shops who helpsed out an checked the doors out he had some very colourfull clothes on and would have bene seen easly.

But  he found his way out before they got on the doors, a stroke of very good luck the town CCTV system was on the same radio chanel and the operater started looking and once again the CCTV op saw the young escapee and a nearby shop was radioed, they have a shopwatch scheme, and a secuirity person managed to apprend him then that was that! Poor muim was distrught as the had another child in a pushchair i so couldnt leave them to run off and look for him

I've got a grandchild and remember his mum had to chase after him once, its amazing how fast they can move, It seems there was a grandparent with him and i can understand how that could have happened. I know its easy to be wise after the event but that footway that Noah ran along leads right to the decoy pond, its hadly little more than a couple of hundred metres away. I'd have thought that that area would have been looked at very early on, but it all might have been over a few miniutes after he ran off.

I did see on the news feed and it then said police divers  were looking and i thought give it an hour or less, poor child  ...

Sad, but why do people/parents let their kids at 3 roam around without being close to them or some form of strap safety
Something like this should be used

You obviously haven't got kids.

What would the point of going to the park be if they couldn't play.   :dash:

Going park is fine, But have to ovs be alert, Looks like the grandad couldnt keep up and lost track. So in these situations what i posted with this sort of safety is ideal.

Very practical have you seen the video of the child playing on the roundabout there?.

So what would you have straped him onto?

I sometimes wonder if you live in the real world:(

Not so sure I would deliberately let a 3 year old out of my sight - especially one that was non-verbal - but every parent has had a moment or ten when we have lost sight of our offspring

You shouldn't really comment on something you have no clue about especially when it's something so tragic.

So in these situations what i posted with this sort of safety is ideal.
You are showing yourself to be more moronic that I thought, to put that on at the park would stop the child playing so making going to the park pointless.

Any parent will tell you a child can disappear in the blink of the eye no matter how well you think you are watching them, fortunately tragedies like this are rare when it does happen.

Yeah I didn't think it was possible but he seems to have a knack of proving himself by these sort of posts time and time again, also not forgetting that if you didn't remove the strap before he played on swings / roundabout etc then there's a risk it could get caught / trapped etc and cause injury as a child got pulled into the equipment

Says it all about you
Just as well you haven't [apparently] got kids
Bringing your fucked up genetics to a close
This assumes of course that you would even be capable of finding a partner to have a child with
You have incel [cunt] written all over you
Why don't you fuck off posting what is or isnt ideal
As for 'grandad not being able to keep up' you wouldn't realise [as you don't have kids] that parents need some time off from the kids
I CBA to elaborate why
There have been some utter cunts on here even they possessed occasionally a slight redeeming feature here & there, mildly funny etc
You display none of these & are worse on all counts
What goes around comes around karma & all that see what happens
In the meantime why don't you do us all a favour & fuck off from UKP

Kids can be V difficult to wrangle. My grandchild is not autistic or the like but I recall one day when she was 4 yes old she  threw a tantrum and ran away in the high street completely oblivious to cars on the road. Fortunately we managed to grab her but she was seconds from running into traffic. Disaster can happen out of the blue in a flash. Thankfully now is a bit more self aware.

Such a tragic outcome and circumstances for this little boys family

Let's not lose sight of the fact that a family is grieving. It must be difficult for them, especially for the Grandfather.  :hi:

It's so heartbreaking. It is good in hindsight to say that he should have done this or she could have done that. But it is just a tragedy that could happen to any parents out there.

There is a well known proverb that says "it takes a village to raise a child". In this case, I suppose if there were more members of the public around then the child would properly be alive today. Again, Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

The park and the local roads were very quiet at the time with hardly anyone around.

I am going to think about this story for some time to come as it is so heartbreaking.

One of my grandkids is of a similar age and a tear away.

I’ve been through all this with my own lads. Disappearing in stores, parks etc.
sometimes because they are hiding and thinking it’s fun to see how distraught a parent gets. 🤷🏼

My heart goes out to this poor lambs family. 😢

Some bloody sad sods work in the NHS sad to say..

Offline Snipper

A heartbreaking event for the family. Small children have no concept of danger. When I was very young we moved to a house which had an old stone water trough with water running through it in the garden. It was a good 2 feet deep so my dad filled it almost to the top with stones because, children being attracted to water, he knew it would only be a matter of time before I fell in.

I'm guessing that the computer will have a digital record of exactly who has looked at and accessed what and with this being a high profile case it's been checked.
Perhaps just idle curiosity however if it's to pass on to the media scumbags then it makes it a Million times worse, hope we aren't going back to phone hacking type scandals

Someone on the news was also listing a whole load of other recent cases where records had been accessed so i'm guessing this is rife

Some people would just want it to be nosey little fuckers.
Anyone that is famous sadly will face some saddos who have no life will want something like this..
The fact that it was more than a few people who looked at it at the NHS without having a requirement for doing so is quiet scary to be honest with you.
I (like many) normally have an instant trust with NHS staff.

It is sad to think some people in the NHS would do this.  :(

Some people regardless of their occupation have a morbid fascination with anything like this. Something tragic happens and it makes national headlines and they see that the deceased had known medical conditions and they have access to the specific medical records. Morbid fascination gets the better of them and they access the records. It’s not necessarily about financial gain, it’s just as likely to be about being curious, stupid but curious.

It's the same morbid fascination that leads to traffic jams on one motorway carriageway after a bad accident has happened on the other one.

I think that sometimes that is an unfair assumption! Sometimes drivers just see blue lights ahead and correctly slow down and also think that debris might have spilled over!
But, yes,  there is a natural curiosity to “see what happened “!

Yeah i've called BS on the rubberneckers claim before, as you say someone sees blue lights and the natural reaction is to slow down slightly, the 1st car may only lift off the throttle but it means the guy behind also has to lift off but for slightly longer, the 3rd car dabs the brakes and so starts the chain reaction, before long traffic is crawling past at a few mph and every driver is allegedly rubbernecking  :dash:

Ten NHS staff have been removed from duty or suspended following a data breach involving the digital medical records of three-year-old Noah Woods
The trust has apologised "unreservedly" to Noah's family and said disciplinary action would be taken if needed

..... taken if needed you cant make it up  :dash:

The NHS are being vague describing what has happened / is happening to the staff involved
Removed suspended bollocks they need to be fired
IMO they need to be outed so everyone knows who the voyeur cunts are
Them working again in the NHS wont be happening again anytime soon however they may look to move to other other businesses in health care
Their details in the public arena would hopefully fuck over their chances of these new jobs & anything else half decent too
They can go work for Deliveroo UberEats [no disrespect to Deliveroo UberEats staff intended]

See the link below - it turns out they can acquire a criminal record this will help fuck them over in the future.  Good.  Tho will this really happen ?

40 staff suspended morbidly looking at files for the little boy thrown into an alligator enclosure by some nutcase
NHS staff accessing un-authorized private details looks pretty widespread

There's already the usual bollocks from the NHS:  we apologize we will learn from this & take steps to make sure that this never happens again
What will get the NHS's attention is going legal starting an eye-wateringly expensive compensation claim
The NHS trusts haven't got a leg to stand one
As for the family of the little boy who died maybe a whopping payout may in due course help other aspects of the families lives in some ways just a little easier
For the little boy recovering from the attack a pile of dosh will no doubt help for care and maybe when he is well enough distractions like a holiday to Disneyland etc whatever is best

The two families covered in the media & others who it has happened to need cuntish firms of ambulance chasing lawyers
When the NHS trust have to pay out huge amounts of ££ it certainly will focus their attention to make sure that the same is less likely to happen going forward

They're asked the question was it you
The answer is either yes [= fired] or no [the matter is further investigated & they are advised that if it is found that it was them they are digging a bigger hole for themselves & a bigger punishment]

There is such a thing as “due process” and the NHS like any employer has to follow it! It usually involves an investigation to gather facts/evidence and if appropriate ( enough evidence) then ongoing to a separate disciplinary hearing where any penalty will be determined!

Often , if the allegations are serious enough or if the employee’s continued working in their jobs is considered inappropriate, they will be suspended (on full pay) whilst investigations and (if appropriate) a disciplinary hearing takes place. Note that in employment law, the evidence bar is lower than in criminal cases- is more akin to “on the balance of probabilities, they probably did it” rather than the “beyond all reasonable doubt “ as in criminal cases!
