Hi guys

Just noticed a new green box under a lady's profile pic, used to be verified member I believe ? Now shows age verified. Only noticed it as a regular I see has shot up over ten years in age overnight.

Though I'll admit I may have missed it as I'm generally not the most observant.

Good move by AW if this is the case, will stop SPs misleading us as to their age!!!!

Yes, you have missed it, but only by a year or so  The age verified badge has been there for ages (since the law has changed last year). Maybe she just had to verify again. AW didn’t use to do that, but now they ask girls to keep their age realistic, and they won’t let anyone set their age for example 10 years younger.

This SP went from 27 to 30, then 33, all in the space of a few months. I still reckon she's closer to 40 though.

Maybe they automatically changed the age for girls who were knocking many years off, based on the passport they submitted for verification. And good, no one benefits from lying that much. Good money can be made at any age.

Further update, one SP who jumped from 44 to 51 has now regressed back to 46, so not as far back as she was a few days ago, but 5 off what she was late yesterday so AW is clearly allowing some fudging of the ages still?

Noticed that too, some still much younger than their actual age and a few have now gone down the route of their age not being specified.

The lady I mentioned above who only a few days ago went from 30 to 39 has now opted to not specify her age, so she's obviously concerned it will effect her business.

Wow that explains why Kylie jumped from 28 to 30. I saw her first time in May 2015 so she must have been 19 at the time.

Actually I want to thank the OP for this. I hadn’t noticed the enhancement myself but will always check on future bookings.

I don't think this age verified badge confirms their age is correct, or anywhere close. After reading this thread I went and checked on an SP who I first saw about 10 years and her stated age then was 39. I remember several years later she changed it to 40 and upon my next visit I joked that she had finally had a birthday and she told me she used to put it under 40 so that she featured in more search results. Her age is now showing as 41 but she has to be in the low 50's in reality, so go figure.

If AW was a more proactive site, they would know the damage that underestimated ages do to the WGs reputation. Plus the confusion for punters. There are a lot posting ten years younger and there are also some real nightmares.

AW plays a vital part in punter/WGs lives but that still doesn’t mean they are not hated

I don't think this age verified badge confirms their age is correct, or anywhere close.

It's not to verify their actual age, it's to verify they are over 18.

I think if it did mean escorts had to state their real age, then the whole site would see a mass exodus and collapse. The majority of them knock 5-10 years off. Some are a bit more honest about it. I knew one who had turned 40 a few years ago but still advertised as under 40 as she said she then would appear in more searches.

Sarah GFE raised a good point about this earlier in the thread as she thinks it's when service providers have to re verify. Makes sense as a lot of ladies are still vastly under stating their age while two ladies I have hot listed shot up from 29 and 30 to 39 and 43 !! Both have since decided to change their age to unspecified, which to me seems worse and clearly highlights that they are on the older side.

Adultwork's application of the age verification and accurate ages is so inconsistent. It seemingly chooses when it wants to apply its own rules based on random arbitrary practices

Very rarely have I met an SP who accurately listed their age. Not that I mind, as many only go +-2 years or something. Its when its incredibly obvious that you state your age as 30 when the reality is you are 45. No one has a baby face that good

How do you even know or work that out ?

Does it really matter?, I would be more concerned some of the profiles that have been on their for 10+ years havent updated there pictures and lets not start on the profiles or say vs as that are not the girl anyway. Just so long as the verification process weeds out girls under 18 stating they are order is probably more important.

Tgere are guys that are on seeking that also lie about age , its a fact of life

Some more honest girls actually update their age when they have a birthday. Obviously we don't know if it's their real age but at least it increases once a year.

Birthdate is considered personally identifiable information and is valuable to any data hackers.
Do we really need to know a girls exact age to the day ? To be honest even to the year.
Obviously a site may use this information together with other information for identity verification but really they should be using a trusted 3rd party for that type of thing .
I would advise anyone coming across sites that want your dob where there is no need to have it to just put a random date
