Hi . I had a couple of near miss from scammers , both Russian in Pattaya last week . I don’t think this is Pattaya specific so may be helpful for others . First scam , matching on tinder and the girl suggested meet at a particular restaurant on walking street with shisha , luckily I checked the reviews and there were report of exorbitant bill at end of the evening. So always choose your place for the date if meeting on tinder . Second scam , 2 Russian girls offered to meet for 4000 Bhats asking for room no of the hotel , I met them on reception and they had to leave their passport on reception. In the room they wanted the payment first . I refused and they left with taxi money . This was clearly a scam as all the WhatsApp messages were deleted in seconds . Also , be aware of the lady boys , they are very aggressive. I had a lovely time with a Thai lady and think 🤔 they are genuinely amazing 🤩
