There are loads of asian ads on viva.  I assume these are weekly switch places.  There must be some members here who know more in terms of reliability and general locations.  Anyone know more?  Particularly of any locations near Welford Rd (where Tip Thai is)?

It would appear not, Knny. I've asked the same question on here before and had no response. All those obvious b&s Chinese adverts must draw customers in, or they wouldn't keep advertising. Perhaps none of those customers are UKP members.

Thanks Charlie.  I remember replying to you when you had asked before.  There was a place near Tip Thai on Welford Road that had a weekly chinese rota.  It was always b&s with reference to their viva ads, but service was always to a good minimum standard (I found).   I think it has now stopped after many years.

After my recent disappointment with a thai, I think the chinese places are probably better for me.

Last time I drove past the welford rd one it looked empty - as in unoccupied.

Don't know if it is just my suspicious nature or if it is warranted but I just don't trust VivaStreet and prefer AW and recommend WGs from on here.  The pics on VS always look to good to be true and the only one I ever did see of it looked nothing like the advertised pic so lost all faith in it.  Is it warranted in terms of the Thai WGs you mention or have seen Knny?

You are correct Mel, the pics on VS are mostly B&S for the non-Thai asians.  However, as long as the service is good, I can overlook appearances.  I never found anyone I was put off by, and most were quite pretty.   The Thais can be a lot better, but everything can be hit and miss.  My last thai review was a negative.

We have a few similar places like that here in Norhampton. Been there a few times because it's cheap , but you never know what you get. Usually it's someone close to 50 and because they are changing every week, here's no point to write to review about it.
Stopped going there at the moment because of quality of the service.
