Just sharing for info.

I received a text yesterday from a mobile number that is not in my contacts informing me that someone I’ve been in close contact with has recently tested positive for syphilis.

I’ve not had a text like this before so unsure on the norm but it was a formal message asking me to get tested at my closest gum clinic as soon as possible, without any links to click on. The mobile number shows no record on here or Google. I plan to get tested regardless.

I’ve seen 5 women this year, all of them regular girls in Sheffield that often get fully booked up and will have seen plenty of people on here. So if you also received the same message it’s likely not a scam.

Thanks for the heads up. I just had a quick look at your recent reviews. I know that one of the girls you’ve seen this year is working this week so if we assume the text is real that would rule her out I know one of the others has had a recent break but it’s back working but not sure any of the other others

Yeah I’ve also been doing detective work.

One of the girls is currently on holiday until mid-July and last logged on 17th June - but she could easily have just gone back home and I last saw her in Jan
One is active this week but took a break for couple of weeks this month with profile removed during that time. I last saw her in March
One has been active this week but not logged on since 23rd (although green light was showing yesterday so must have been scheduled) - saw her three weeks ago
One of the girls active this week and has been fully booked and active the last few weeks - last saw her Jan time
The last one not been on since 14th June but that’s not out of the norm for her - saw her in April

So really the above only probably rules one of them out fully.

With one of them being a punt this month I’d likely need to get retested in 90 days just in case it’s a false negative this time.

Unfortunately this hobby of ours is not without its perils and all we can do is be proactive with our own H&S

I had a similar text a few years back though the specific STI was not indicated in the message, i immediately got tested and fortunately i was all clear, the girl herself whom was a regular also let met know, though this was a few days after the initial message

I know February cannot be totally ruled out but I would imagine you have narrowed the field down to the 2 march punts reviewed and the unreviewed april punt you mentioned, both of which fit the time scale for the incubation period, though your early March review reads as though it was HJ only, so for me that puts the other march punt and the unreviewed April punt to the forefront, unless you have other unreviewed punts from that time

Obviously the March and April punts fit the timescale with Syphilis taking up to 3 months to be detected, either visibly or by blood test

It goes without saying that getting yourself tested should be your immediate priority and personally for me i think the responsible thing to do is to forward the message you received to the SPs you have visited, maybe going back to January

Maybe the girl will ID herself to you especially if she is a regular, one thing not to do is to go playing up fuck with her about it, shit happens and it is unfair to try to place blame on a single person as many of us actively seek owo and RO

I suggest you stop attempting to speculate which girl may have triggered this: you're potentially getting toward breaching rule 25.

More then likely the one that just disappeared for a few weeks.. these are the risks we take. Good to know who ever it was obviously gets checked and passed on numbers to the gum clinic so people could be traced. I think that is a really good thing as if it was a SP they could have had to spend a significant amount of time doing this..

Understand where you are coming from Scutty and appreciate the nudge, my own comments are/were not about identifying the girl, be it for ourselves or for any other reason and Im sure the OP would do like many of us would in the same scenario
In my case the girl did notify me herself which was much appreciated and according to her had also notified her other customers too, however, like i said, i do understand where you are coming from and going forward i will try to be mindful of my wording :hi:

My comments are/were more about NOT apportioning blame and more about getting himself tested/retested if necessary and communicating with the SP's he as seen so that they too can be proactive with the testing

If I remember correctly the clinics send out texts to mobile numbers you give them if you've tested positive. It's so the identity of the person who is positive. That's why you won't know the number unless the lady herself decides to do it

It wasn't aimed particularly at you or anyone else. I could just foresee the thread getting too specific if people forgot

Im sure we all know it wasnt aimed at anyone specific, and again thanks for the nudge tp keep us on track, much appreciated

Just to put speculation and doubt to bed, it wasn’t any of the girls I reviewed this year. In particular the girl that removed her account and came back, that was to do with trying out an agency and not liking it.

I’ve been in touch with them all to let them know I received the text as a precaution. All bar one girl got back to me, whom I saw early April and didn’t review, as she has been offline this last two weeks.

My test results came back negative too so hopefully false alarm but if anyone else did get that same message, hope you’re ok.

Thanks for the advice to those that gave it.
