Just seen that the site whose name I cannot mention closed on 1st June. No surprise really as it was a shadow of its former self. Still it was the main site that introduced me to punting till AW stole it's thunder.

Another well known punting review site and forum recently closed its doors. 

It had been shit for a long time.  Years ago it was the go to site for our hobby, but tbh I had forgotten it existed.

It WAS a good review & chat site when I first found it but rapidly went downhill and there were several allegations of unprofessional behavior on behalf of admin and so many clearly fake reviews written by WGs, handlers or venue owners

I havent checked it in over a year, wonder if any of my reviews survived till the end ?

Thanks, but I had in fact reminded myself of that rule before posting, and assumed as the site in question is (I believe) no longer functioning, that the issue of giving them publicity wouldn't be relevant. I was therefore a bit surprised that the name of the other defunct site was auto-censored out. It was just a historical query really, as I'm sure several members on here were probably on it at one time.

I'm not surprised that site has closed. We as punters had enough with the way the management would side with the WG's who were paying for advertising, that this site was setup, to offer a punter first site, I was one of the few rebels who left it and joined UKP.

FWIW the Pnet server is still partially up and running: the reviews seem to be there in pdf format and can be accessed if you have the direct URL for the actual specific review page.
Trying to find a specific review is going to be a bit like a needle in a haystack - unless someone has a way of capturing, collating and indexing them.
However it seems possible to find some of them by googling "punternet  name  location" or similar key words

That site got me into punting. I found it via my job of all things in the late 1990s when I was working in cybersecurity and was tasked to monitor the web traffic of another member of staff. Took me until 2001 9/11 to brave my first punt in Barbican.

Yes, Manmeat, MK way IIRC.  His reviews were always entertaining and I'd hoped he'd come over to here and retain his distinctive writing style.

That would not surprise me, ownership of online forums are anonymous, owning the country's escort review site as a brothel owner would be very smart business move.

Going by the number of glowing reviews on there for girls from that stable always made me suspect some sort of involvement.
