Ah, yes Fagash was always a cut above the rest, on the grounds she still had most of her teeth.
Tp, do you remember 'Felicity's Hat Hire', at a busy junction on Queens Drive? It might still be there now, for all I know. Long before I'd ever heard of money laundering, more than forty years ago, I remember being rather baffled as to why so many Scouse women - and I married one of them - would want to hire a hat, apart from once a year at Aintree. There was never much evidence of them when strolling around Knotty Ash, for sure.
I can't say I remember that shop.
I see it's by The Rocket (which only local folk would know what I'm talking about).
I guess it's also useful for Scouse weddings which can be quite extravagant.
In relation to race meetings, many young Scouse fillies regularly travel on the train for the Chester races.
They're a sight to behold walking through town.
Not so much on the way back to the station when they're bedraggled and worse for wear, carrying their stilettos and hobbling along in flip-flops.
I've been told that M&S may provide a free dress hire service for some enterprising young ladies who reputably may choose to wear one of their latest creations for the races, then get a refund the next day, but surely that's not true.
However I digress, and will be accused of highjacking the thread, so I'll leave it there before I get into trouble.
