Two good experiences, actually. To clarify, this is not an Amsterdam Red Light District recommendation (poor value for money, upsellers, etc - the RLD in De Wallen isn't what it once was).
I have been away from this hobby for many years, except from a regular with whom i have kept contact for a few years now and meet up a few times a year (we live in different countries).
But i was in Amsterdam earlier this year and found myself with time on my hands while waiting for the right time to head to the airport to catch a flight later in the evening. I was walking through Stoofsteg in De Wallen when a hot, young blonde caught my eye and i thought why not, i'll just have a chat to find out the going rates these days. So that's the story. My recommendation is to follow the advice of those who know in this forum and avoid Amsterdam as a punting destination. However, if you find yourself there and don't mind parting with the extra cash, finding a good experience is still possible.
I am still unlikely to return to fully return to the hobby. I never really "retired" or made a decision, i simply took an extended break which will probably continue, although i am open to make another exception or two.
