Yes……… what is happening with City.

Why is it taking so long, what are the complexities involved 🤷🏼

Why have other clubs been investigated, charged and dealt with, yet this just goes on and on and never gets resolved.

Personally I think it’s so big that the officials don’t know what to do. Frankly I don’t think anything will ever get resolved and the longer it goes on …….     It will get forgot about 😀

A simplistic view yes. But really. Why is it taking so long. ?

City obviously have better lawyers and deeper pockets to pay them

I previously said that the outcome would get announced after the end of the 25/26 season once the league winner was known (especially if City didn't win it) but before the WC kicked off, well unless it's announced in the next few hours then it appears i'm wrong and I don't see it being announced mid WC unless they are so chicken shit that they hope it will all get lost in the noise  :unknown:

The hearings / evidence assessment concluded in Dec 24 so exactly WTF are the panel considering everything doing and how long does it actually take to make a fucking decision  :unknown:

Several on here will remember Mark Viduka the Aussie who played for Celtic, Leeds United, Middlesbrough and Newcastle United now runs a cafe near Zagreb

I would like to think that if I were a very famous and very well-paid footballer (a bit of a mental stretch), I would – while possibly enhancing my earnings by taking advantage of a few selective promotional opportunities – not cheapen myself by appearing on television advertisements.

Last night, during a film I was watching on Film 4, I had the dubious pleasure of David Beckham encouraging me at one point to eat at McDonald's and at another to drink Stella Artois.

How much money does the man need?  According to the Sunday Times Rich List, the Beckhams are billionaires.

Viduka was a traditional centre forward. Big powerful and strong. Great player. I had the pleasure of watching him in the Leeds v Man U games particularly at Bellend Road. Such a good header if the ball and his partnership with Smith was very difficult to defend against. Don't make them like that anymore sadly

So i've always thought he was a Mega twat however I also have to acknowledge he is very popular and has somehow through good PR / marketing been very successful

My question is whether he and indeed others actually consume this junk food shite that they are apparently so happy to push on us and our kids

For Beckham it won't be about the money but if he keeps popping up in adverts then it does keep him on our screens and in out minds, it's all about publicity for him keeping himself current and relevant

Not the best start for Leeds  :dash:
Liverpool go two up
Leeds draw level
Liverpool get another 2-3
Then its 3-3
Ending up 4-3  :yahoo:

I do remember through a drunken haze back in the late 90's being at Wembley to watch England play in a friendly, can't remember exactly when / what year or even who we were playing but i'd hazard a guess it was after WC98 when he'd been sent off and fucked up over

Fuck knows how he managed to come back from being one of the most hated men in England (Good media / PR team) as he was a proper pariah at the time, anyway the game was boring as fuck and at one point i'd say over 50% of the England fans were standing up singing "Stand up if you hate Man U" (Not really right as club rivalry shouldn't come into the National side / game) but also "Does Posh take it up the shitter"  :D

How fucked up was that in 98 and 2000 for players receiving death threats and abuse all over the place because a sending off and other things which happen in football?
Few years ago Saka and Rashford same story after missing penalties in the final.
It's just a game in the end ....

To be fair Beckham was (and still is) a bit of a prat in the incident but Simeone - who got a yellow for the original tackle should have  been given a second  (or an oscar) for his reaction For 2 minutes he made it look like a career ending injury then made a miraculous recovery after the red card was shown to Beckham

On the bbc reference made to the pitch being too dry
That its hot will impact
The bigger issue is all the pre match bollox rather than watering it
Dry pitch = crap for playing not suiting the better teams & injuries

I'd like to think that England one of the better teams so they need to get their technical team onto the pitch pre match
& if its too dry get them to water it after the entertainment is finished
It'll add a delay & the organisers will go ballistic ... fuck em
& watering at half time

Meaning that the tech team try to force the organisers to water it

I did work it out - it was just a fleeting amusing thought - although probably more likely the them persuading the yanks to water it

There’s an alternative view of Beckham and advertising. Brands want to be associated with him so it’s not just about the money, although it will always be a factor. If brands want to pay him to be associated with their products why should he turn it down?

I quite like the bloke; I thought he was massively overrated as a footballer other than from dead ball situations, but he was part of the London 2012 Olympic bid team and he lined up with the rest of us for several hours to pay his respects to the late Queen.

He’s a twat but he’s a likeable twat.

A Baroness thinks its acceptable to work alongside Sullivan despite knowing that he was banned from interaction with the women's & youth teams
But only for 3 years

'Brady continued working for the club until April this year when she stepped down abruptly five games before the end of the season'

Maybe she had a heads up that the 2 year investigation by the BBC & The Times was gathering pace & about to break the surface
Like they'd spend significant amounts of time [2 years] effort & money & risk being sued if they get it wrong

'In the letter, her lawyers said she remained at West Ham because Sullivan always denied the allegation and she relied "on the principle of presumption of innocence in continuing to work at the club"'

Me thinks that this presumption was looking fatally flawed & time to rapidly depart
She wouldn;t want to jeopardise her position in The House of Lords

Seven women [so far] have come forward, there could be more
Various women complained to Essex Police who seemed incapable of joining the dots
Not hard to work out what conclusions they incorrectly jumped to despite having numerous opportunities
Waiting for "we apologise its fallen far below the standards expected we will learn from this & take steps to ensure that this never happens again, we are truly sorry"

I wouldn;t mind becoming her apprentice
Looks FAF - ⬇️ has earned the shop man a bundle

As an aside the FA like Brady have known about Sullivan for 3 years
So much for their promotion of women's footy

Indeed at the very least they knew something was probably wrong for 3 years

If Brady had no personal problems with him then we can assume Sullivan is a leg man

I have to say though and i'm not condoning it in any way but when it comes to Sullivan finding out that a porn king likes women and has got a bit touchy feely isn't exactly unexpected is it  :unknown:

She denies being hypocritical - her entire business career has been built around hypocrisy. She’s worked for Sullivan for over 30 years.

Making a living out of being an 'ambassador for strong women' whilst turning a blind eye to the abuse of those around her whilst she scuttled up the drainpipe to the top of her career and leaving her role as the news came out.

The absolute worst of human hypocrisy.

There was a program on TV about her about 20 years ago going on about a woman making it to the top in a mans world etc, fair enough she has done well for herself.

However they did have a psychological analyst who basically said she's a psychopath and that's how / why she's got to the top as she doesn't give a shit who she climbs over or fucks over to get there.
Contrary to popular belief when people claim someone is a Psycho it conjures up an image of an axe wielding madman which some are but others are very intelligent; cold and calculating
It's all about knowing what you want or where you want to be and achieving your goal, anything or anyone who is standing in the way of their aim is basically an object that needs to be dealt with or removed, for some that may mean beating someone up but for the likes of Brady it means being smart and constructing or re-engineering a situation so that you end up winning
If some people get hurt like getting sacked; demoted or their business suffers then they're simply classed as collateral damage but who gives a fuck anyway as they're also viewed as not being important or weak in any case by the psychopath who has little or no empathy for others, just so long as they get what they want  :hi:

I cant see her being on the bbc anytime soon given that they [along with The Times] did the investigation into Sullivan
She's minted
A plan for her would be to lie low out of media attention somewhere far away & nice
The problem is her House of Lords duties
Maybe a sabbatical
That she jumped before things came out will likely mean she can return to the bbc [if she wants to] when the dust has settled
