Using AI Produced Content To Post On Threads.

Can’t help notice that slabs of AI content being posted recently in O/T forum, is this really the way we want the forum to go ? I know I’m a Luddite, but it would be nice to keep a human semblance here, or before you know it we’ll  be having visit reviews produced by AI. It just a general comment, there is no dig intended at anyone here.

No I don’t think so, I don’t want to point the finger, it’s a philosophical question on how the forum might evolve in the near future.

I've seen a few instances of this where a poster has wanted to display facts in order to comment on them. From what I recall, in all examples I've seen there have been 2 practices which have meant I have not been concerned;
1. In all cases they were off-topic.
2. In all cases the poster made us aware that was where the info came from.

As things are this doesn't worry me, but I wouldn't want to see AI used to write or comment on reviews or other punting related matters.

I believe it can be a succinct way to summarise the facts of something, which is exactly why I did it.

I view such posts as highly suspect because the details contained are often unreferenced, unsourced - and potentially bogus. They just muddy the facts of what is being discussed, especially if the AI starts hallucinating. I'd be happy if the site was rid of them
