Author Topic: I've had a reprimand - warning from AW!  (Read 1118 times)

IMHO completely unjustified

Kind of a long diatribe but pretty much along the lines of "You are being warned about discussion of children/minors in your personal messaging. Any further breaches of our policy will result in an immediate cessation of your account" - or words to that effect.

1. It was an Email to an escort I've known for many years - part of the AW booking process
2. I mentioned to her that my daughter was now back in the UK & looking after me.

3. Here's the rub - My daughter is almost 40 years old :dash:

I don't know if to laugh or cry FFS - stupid bastards  :(

Yes I inadvertently wrote something similar to a SP I’ve known for many years and got a similar warning.

Daft me of course because we normally correspond by email or text. 🤷🏼

Probably some monitoring bot, which is triggered by certain words - years ago a friend of mine had a charity called "the rabbit charity" thae web site name was "therabbitcharity" which, because it produced the word "bitch", fell foul of some adult content blocking software.

Scunthorpe has struggled a bit over the years too.

Yes any reference to children is not allowed, I suspect the word daughter is a particular trigger because discussion of incest roleplay is not allowed anywhere on AW.

Probably a fair assessment.

You would however think that it would be flagged to a human moderator for review first, before issuing a warning...?

That being said, albeit a slightly different situation. I recently had a perfectly legitimate review rejected, no derogatory text used at all after me receiving an online purchase. I complained about it to be told that it was a machine model, not a human being.

That review was then reinstated. Unfortunately, it appears this is the direction that we're heading in as a cost saving exercise.

Something with adult work you need to be more careful with using language for example

Girls username used to say deep throat they now say "DT" It could be something to do with the age verification over 18 ,

In the OP's case was probably just a bot who flagged the word daughter (there'll be loads ) child, children, son, maybe even niece and nephew , junior . Just anything I guess that indicates a family member or child activates "bot moderator"

Yes usernames were cleaned up last year, part of the AW response to the Online Safety Act (OSA).

Yeah it’s a monitoring bot, (most of the time the bot get it wrong)
I won’t go too personal on AW emails, better off contacting through your personal email or phone number.

AW email should be for getting contact details or booking that’s about it

If Typhoo put the "t" in Britain, who put the "cunt" in Scunthorpe?

Perhaps the word "rabbit" also fell foul

Just a word of warning, sometimes even discussing pets can be flagged up. I got a warning for mentioning my dog too many times.

I don't think that was a "thing" at the time  :unknown:
