I had very similar with an ex who was living with me. We were watching some police documentary where the cops were questioning street walkers about a murder that had taken place. My partner asked me if I ever saw an escort and I could feel her looking at me like she was judging my relation. I wasn't punting whilst I was with her but I had the history so I was paranoid she somehow knew. I answered no and shook my head in a way that made it seemed like I was repulsed by the very thought. Actually, with hindsight, the girl in question may not have minded.  She worked in a environment with many gay men who tended to be pretty promiscuous so she knew how the world worked.

Still glad I didn't tell her though, everybody else would have known particularly when I dumped her.
