i updated my punting iphone today
there's a new tab 'confirm you are 18+' 
cheeky fuckers
i'm figuring that on my main iphone this is clear [to apple] as apple pay etc
anyone else seen this ?
i pressed the 'proceed' tab & the next stage was take a screenshot of credit card or ID to validate
apple can off you fuck
how PC wokey of them
at the same time amongst lots of cuntish things they do they purposely slow up older model iphones
i had to bin my very reliable 6+ as it no longer supported WhatsApp 
if the 18+ requirement continues / causes problems i'll be selling the replacement [for the 6] & switching to an android / windows based mobile i doubt if these will be on the same PC mission

On vodafone i had to do a couple of things to access the likes of Awank / adult content
On my main mobile
The same on my punting iphone donkeys ago cant recall what nothing too stressy

I have noticed doing a bit of research is that used samsungs are cheaper / better than iphones [for limited eg punting use] so this may be the way to go if the new apple mullarkey causes a problem

I didn't realise that the latest update included this
The likes of vivastreet & awank blocked on google
I wish i hadn't bothered doing the update

As for verifying myself on my iphone fuck that for a game of soldiers
iphones notorious for fucking things up connecting .... etc
The whole point of an anonymous punting mobile is that it is exactly this

The options appear to be create a dummy account on google to enable searches

I dont use my punting mobile for much other than contacting SPs
On my main mobile incognito browsing works just fine
On the very very small chance the civvy has a look at my mobile etc

For UKPers where their mobile is their main access point it could cause a problem
The question is will the likes of Samsung follow Apple ?
I would never use a Huawei mobile as my main phone [far too risky] however this could be looking like a solution for UKPers who have an iphone
They are the sink hole of mobiles
The chinese doing 18+ stuff  they are more interested in using mobiles to gather data

Any suggestions fellow UKpers ?

From 2027 European regulation coming into force state that batteries in mobile phones have to be easily replacable with minimum tools or good  access which will be a good thing. This is supposed to cut down the number of discarded phones after three years or so when batteries start to get warn out and people replace their phones with new ones. I know a lot of people upgrade their phones after a few years to have the latest model or specifications but for some like myself are quite happy to stay with their phone for a few years and only replace them when battery life is on the wane.

This has been spoken about for a few months.

Apple being Apple will only allow driving licence for approval (currently) or a credit card. Well I didn’t have either, so that would have been a ballache (driving licence is old paper one).

However for a lot of people this can be sidestepped automatically (as it did with me), due to the fact I had made a purchase in iTunes over 18 yrs ago, so the logic is if I was alive then I must be 18+ now. That’s maybe why some readers of this are shrugging their shoulders.

Just check you purchase history if you don’t want the pain of verifying, you may not have to.

Apple is worst as compared to who, META with Facebook and Instagram?  Google? Marks and Spencer?  All seem to have quite alarming data breaches and vulnerabilities.

Do give recent citations where it has been found that Apple is worse than others when it comes to data security.

Don't wish to start here yet another tiresome Android versus Apple flamer war here, but you seem somewhat out of touch or out of date on Apple's current state of play: Apple is USB-C across their product line, in fact they don't even include chargers with their latest products, and both their devices and chargers are USB-PD compliant.

In contrast there are phones and chargers offered by OPPO, Xiaomi etc which are USB but otherwise proprietary in how they rapid-charge their devices.

I had this pop up but then it said it automatically verified my age based on the my Apple account so I didn’t need to do anything. It might be because I have a credit card on file in my name.  It’s my regular phone.

Pornhub have announced today that Apple's on device age verification is robust enough that they no longer need to block UK users from accessing their website and OfCom approve the idea.

So it seems that a reputable company that has proven your age for legitimate reasons (eg so they can sell you age restricted stuff on iTunes that isn't adult related)

It doesn't cost anything and you don't have to give up data you haven't done in the past to qualify.

Seems like a win to me, I await Google copying it with baited breath and then having a data breach because their OS is nowhere near as secure.
