VS Chrome Extension

Would anyone be interested? I'm thinking of making one and would upload to Github etc where others can safely d/l without fear of (computer!) viruses.

I'll name it something similar to the AWCiviliser as a homage to Kuck's good work over the years on the AW extension. 

Let me know if there's any appetite.

1.  I don't use Chrome (don't trust Google to not abuse my personal data)
2.  I don't use VS.  When you read the negative reviews, or hear about scam/blackmail calls - there seem to be a much higher proportion linked to VS than AW.

Before you commit to anything like that don't forget that at some point AW are going to dump the current interface and switch to what is currently the beta version

Problem with trying that with VS is the lack of continuity of the profiles - on average they last around 30 days before getting binned.

OldAdmin tried to sort a system of indexing VS profiles and adverts but couldn't because the number doesn't stay the same as they do on AW.

VS does now have "posted by {user_id}" links under the post title, it used to be under the massage section only but now also in the adult section. Often i'd click and see way to many ads of different girls which probably means b&s or they are working with a girl i've seen before but received shit service so avoid by association.

Also it was always there you just dig out the id in the page response and construct the link yourself. ctrl + u and search for "ad_author_id" or f12 and then in console window.trackingData.ad_author_id
link is like External Link/Members Only{user_id}?show_personal_ads=1 . and show_personal_ads=1, remove it or switch it to 0 to switch between non adult ads (massage section) and adult ads.

A browser extension for desktop and mobile would be great if it could reliably do a non-product image search on a selection of engines regardless of image type (still can't figure out why Google is inconsistent with search ehole image as to some item it identifies in it)
If you're going to crawl VS then something that nabs all phone numbers and can tell us if it's being used by other ads would be useful, similarly finding ads of different sps, regardless of location, being run by managements would be useful for possibly spotting dodgy ones as well as "reliable".  Could do a phone number search in UKP too to report hits and links.
If you're up for creating an image usage db then processing posted pics, finger-printing them and associating some SP meta data to them along with date seen and links to ad and non-sp source would enable us to see who's stealing pics from where or using possibly honest ones. Also if pics are being reused on other ads.  Users could then flag again if real or stolen/fake to increase accuracy of assessment, adding link to sources they find.
Comparatively few VS ads seem to last long so phone numbers and pics used will be the only way of associating a history of ads.
It's a real mess of a platform to try and track across time and "sync" with UKP.  If you get UKP Owner's permission perhaps you could build up a db/table of reviews for vs ads and try to associate with live vs ads somehow?

Sounds interesting. I use VS but it is rubbish compared to AW and that is mosty rubbish to how it was between 2010 and 2016. The plague in 2020 hit it badly and many of its SPs never returned and the silly UK rules have also affected

If you don't want to use Chrome / Firefox because of privacy there are some good alternatives

Brave (Chrome ) and Mullvad (Firefox ). Librewolf is also another good alternative.

I tried to bulk process VS images recently and i started getting a lot of cloudflare popups trying to slow me down. I'm using a VPN and am signed in with an age verified account.

Not sure that's a good idea. Kuck did that with his plugin, some idiot reviewed it pointing out the ability to view "private" photos - and AW blocked that part of the program overnight.
I wouldn't be surprised if VS try blocking this if they find out about it. Maybe best to keep it below the counter...

Nothing wrong with blocking a feature that is destroying income for both SPs and site.
Chodu's proposal is working on the public content and not monetising it so VS have no commercial beef, arguably it's a driver of traffic and user satisfaction, pun intended.

I agree AW were within their rights to block the function, but the point is that they would never have found out if the plugin had remained below the horizon.
In the case of this VS plugin the matching picture search and matching poster search options make identifying possible trafficking gangs a lot easier. VS swear blind they report these, we know they don't and this plugin proves it. Knowing how devious VS are it would be in their interests to disable this plugin

Regarding Extras: Most of VS SPs come over for a tour and know very little English and the comms and menu is done by the maid - Consequently the SPs tend to give or refuse whatever extras they want in the roomSome don't even change the price (Eg. it just says £120ph on the ad but then a proper menu with prices and services is texted out),  = Not much point working on an extras function like AW Civ.

Regarding Snapshots, there is the ability to Copy the Live List as text only eg to say, whatsapp yourself, using the button at the top.

Perhaps I might make it that it just screenshots the sidebar as a jpg which can be sent to your device etc. Currently Filter Matches is for filtering your matches into one page. (Otherwise it will show eg. 5 pages of blanks and only when you click int othe 6th page you see a single matching ad. This (kinda  ) filters all onto one page.

What are the chances of being able to extract a search results list into a spreadsheet format listing

profile name - URL - posted by - phone - locality - nationality - 1 hr incall price - 1 hr outcall price? and maybe add a flag for duplicate phone numbers?

Whether the extras are correctly stated or priced or not they are a possible pojnt of confirmation in the booking enquiry.  Also we know some SPs/maids get uppity if they don't think you've read the profile and ask questions "needlessly".  That's why I suggest it's better to highlight the detail if available.

Snapshotting the list is certainly useful for building a menu of options when planning to dine out. Individual snapshots (with the most representative photo (or a warning of likely stolen pics) would enable reviews to be more complete, lifting the quality of info for all.

Added previewable (by hovering) thumbnails of all gallery pics onto the search results so you will see the main pic and underneath all the gallery pics without needing to click into each picture.

Custom Group Labels now have associated shortcut jump buttons to take you directly to a group in your Favourites list.
