It's funny how it's not an excuse in any other industry, to not send a text. I can't just give my boss radio silence, I can take time off, just like an escort can, but I have to let anyone I have meetings with know.
It's not just escorts.
I have plenty of incidences in business where people go radio silent. Some people are just shit at managing their time and business.
In the past few weeks, a contractor who has been working for me, failed to turn up to three meetings at my house.
First excuse, one of his workers is sick and he's been delayed. Told him to let me know with a simple text in future.
Second time, his dogs got poisoned by eating all of their medication, so he's at the vet. Told him the same - not a problem, but just let me know.
Third time a few weeks later. I left him a voice mail telling him his fortune and how unprofessional he is. He sends a message straight back, saying he's at he vet right now and his dog might need an operation (only now after three weeks!). I just replied and said if he can send me a message right now, then he could have sent one prior to me calling.
I haven't heard from him since, that was three weeks ago.
It's not as if I'm not a good customer, I spent £120k with him over the past year. The additional work I want doing is probably £25k.
I also have loads of examples where I contact companies for them to do work for me and I either get no answer at all, or they answer, then fail to follow up.
