City centre punting in Zurich took a nose dive when the city clamped down on the Langstrasse district.

At one time the area bordered by Langstrasse, Feldstrasse, Stauffacherstrasse and the railway line was a hot bed of the cheaper, more seedy massage parlours and street walkers.

There were some good parlours always staffed by non-Swiss women, these are now all closed so no point in any type of review. Also, the street walkers with their shared apartments were policed out of existence.

There are still some clubs in the area, but these are mostly (in my opinion) tourist traps with all the tricks that were once seen in London Soho area.

There were also some street walkers across the other side of the river at Haringstrasse, these too were policed away. This street had an apartment block with women sat in the windows awaiting customers. The opposite side of the street normally had groups of men simply stood there looking up at the windows, never quite got what they were hoping to gain by this.
