I made contact last week to arrange a meet, I clearly asked whether cash was accepted as been asked before to purchase vouchers or similar from garages

Confirmed cash was fine, given details of the A21 near the supermarket and garage

Upon arrival, was asked to go to the garage and use the cash to buy a voucher......

WTF, others might be fine with this but I took real offence as I had specifically asked the question so the meet never happened as in my opinion they are a timewaster

My issue was more about buying a crazy voucher as would have accepted if the view was different

Sounds like a scam , probably would want you to show the voucher number before letting you in if indeed they are at that address.
You mention that this has happened before ? Same place ?

No, the others were in the Maidstone area, adverts no longer showing

I agree that it is a scam, otherwise take the cash and go buy the voucher yourself if that is what you want
