Author Topic: Jobs allowing for a fair amount of international travel (and therefore punting)  (Read 1340 times)

Offline jjshah

Hi gang - not sure if this is the best place to post this, but it's related to the potential of punting more so let's try - feel free to move this, mods...

I do the occasional business trip abroad and am able to fit some international punting around this. But I'll be UK-based for the forseeable and ideally I would like to do more travel in the future, and am contemplating what I do next in my career to facilitate this. Obviously without wanting to dox myself or others, do any seasoned internationally mobile punters have any views/experience on what kind of work would allow this lifestyle? I am in consultancy which allows a bit of roaming around the globe, but honestly I've always had a probably juvenile, unrealistic ambition to always be on the go, shagging a different nationality every other week  :yahoo:

Become a spy , James Bond does a lot of travelling and gets to shag plenty of fit women. What could possibly go wrong in that job :unknown: or join the armed forces especially the Navy *, women love a man in uniform or as the old saying goes " join the Army, travel the World and kill people"  :D
* Prince Andrew , (or now just randy Andy) is a fine example of what a career in the Navy can lead to

I find having a lot of money, no need to work and total flexibility helps with regard to global travel.

The restrictions being, grandchildren, the need to pick up prescriptions and also the simple fact. When I was travelling more and more. I seemed to be enjoying the countries I was in rather than looking for a punt.

Silly me. 🤷🏼

Get a job working for Oxfam or some other international charity, seemed to be fairly commonplace them abusing the people they were supposed to be helping

This looks really interesting - thank you for the response. Definitely something that looks very unconventional and something I'd think you'd end up with a few stories around!

If you're in consultancy, good at your job, experience and accomplished why not just get a remote job that will allow you to work from anywhere in the world with a reasonable timezone?
