I know a few escorts who have effectively retired from seeing new clients, they only see regulars, and they have been doing this for a number of years. Obviously they need to build a good number of regular clients, plus have another form of income to make it work long term.

Interesting to read all the comments and views, and thanks to the other SPs who have added their perspectives. Since writing my first post I've learned a lot more from two of my regs who have opened up in more than the usual way. Its seems they both get texts and or WhatsApp messages as well as phone calls. They tell me they have multiple pretend punters who make out that they are arriving right up until the booking time then simply go quiet soon after. In my case, after 30 mins waiting and having got herself ready in paid for accommodation she offered me the booking. One girl suspects the same person may have tried this multiple times as she noticed similarities in the messages.

Due to my health issues I don't punt often and tend to revisit those I feel comfortable with after a few visits, so this was particularly anooying. I had another review ready but clearly can't put it up when they are not advertising. Both say they will re-advertise once in a while to get more regulars, so if an ad goes up I'll add it then. Both also say they'll now be asking for a deposit though.

I hope this update is helpful as my ability to contribute to the forum is otherwise limited.

Edit to pick up on MLawro93's comment. I prefere more amatuer types so yes, all the SPs I see at the moment have other forms of income.

I've heard this is actually very common, and in a morbidly curious kind of way I'd be interested in knowing what the fuck goes through the (non)punter's mind during this. Are they fantasists who are dipping their toes in the water, going through the process of selecting a girl and comms, but bottle it when it comes to following through? Do they derive some kind of pleasure from "tricking" the WG? It's pretty fucking pathetic either way.

I think it's probably not the WGs themselves doing this.

If they are with an agency and have a call handler, you can imagine a nasty-minded handler, with time on their hands, trying to make things difficult for their competition with fake bookings, and try to literally "drive them out of town". 

Or some other "bad actor" with a motive to target WGs in their town.
