Author Topic: Men stroking their beards :-)  (Read 1835 times)

Was in the pub last night  :drinks:

About 6 guys with mustaches and beards.  I've never had a beard myself. But I realise that they are in high fashion nowadays.

But I just noticed that they were all touching & stroking their mustaches and beards a lot of the time   :unknown:

If you have a mustache and beard is it compulsory that you have to keep caressing it all the time ?  :)

Is it because the beard reminds you of a woman's exotic regions  :)

Just wondering that's all   :)

They’re subconsciously flirting with other bearded men

Or maybe long bears are just itching, that's the reason I keep mine short - 3 mm  :D

Or perhaps they stroke their beards because they can't stroke their cocks in public  :D

They are vainly attempting to look intelligent. If they were they would not have them. They are only acceptable when not popular.

Offline FLYING BLUE

It's that age old thing of not really knowing what to do with your hands.

I find myself doing it, without really knowing, when I'm in the pub, contemplating  :)

Offline RandomGuy99

I think it's because they have small willies.

Isn't there some charity thing about growing moustaches in "mouvember"?

Offline Squire Haggard

I'm sawing mine off soon. I dont usually have one anyway. I'll no longer look like I've been sleeping under a bridge.

Yes. Movenber. Mens health charity. For moustaches only, in theory

I grew mine long over Xmas for the Santa look.

For me at least the reason for stroking it (actually more like pulling it) is because it gets itchy and that relieves the itch, without scratching away like a demented puppy.

In my case, you could be right ;)

I can remember when bearded men were either old, or artists, poets, philosophers, smart arses or tramps.
They often wore cravats, smoked pipes, wore suede shoes or sandles with socks.
They were often batchelors with names like Percy or Ernest and were on the committee of their local folk club.

However,  my memory's not great. I think I remember one called Nigel. :unknown:

Or they were Geography teachers who wore tweed jackets with elbow patches sewn on them

Go to any beer festival and you can't move for bearded men often with man buns or Alice bands

Why is it trendy for young guys to grow beards yet shave their pubes?

Given the choice between stroking my beard or bollocks, I know what I'd choose.

Alice bands. Named after Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carrol.  Not sure if he had a beard   :)

There seems to be a lot of beard envy on here. :D

I keep my beard at a length of 12mm and I stroke it because as you talk bits of it tend to stick out and have to be smoothed back into place.

Long bears?
Is that a gay version of an Australian drop bear?

Lots to chat about bears on here yet nobody has talked about goats. 🤷🏼

I had to get my ruler out to check out 12mm  ?

I'm old school, still think in feet and inches (it's my age)   :)

I understand where you are coming from. I stroke my eyebrows, for the same reason   :)

As a bearded person I can honestly say I have not stroked mine in public. But I think I may have to, but now I think about it... it sounds like that male holding chin pose people do for social media... yah maybe I should just avoid that.

I wrote this whilst stroking my beard to see what it feels like.

It's code.  A secret society like the Masons but for bearded blokes.  I can't say too much but there would have been one Alpha or Daddy beard with long slow strokes from moustache to chin with his left hand thumb pointed at 45 degrees to the left.
