Stayed a night at a decent 4⭐️ central Mumbai hotel and booked a 1.5hr evening massage with Spa reception in person. INR2900/hr or 4200/1.5hrs (INR=Indian Rupee). They close at 9pm which I felt was a good sign ;). Checked availability of a female masseuse, as massages from my previous visits to spas in Tamil Nadu hotels had been by men.

Upon arrival later, found a busy reception desk where I signed a health declaration and disclaimer that any request for sexual services would lead to immediate cessation of the massage! I paid for the massage, then my allocated masseuse guided me to one of the many rooms. Clean, AC, mattress and pillow on floor, spa sounds playing through ceiling speakers. Told me to get ready so I put on the provided paper panties and waited. She entered, clarified the pressure and commenced the oily massage which was fabulous. Masseuse was fair, slim, 40ish, spoke really good English and reminded me physically of Archie Punjabi from The Good Wife.

I started chatting with her and she seemed to be vetting me. She wanted to know I was a staying in the hotel, travelling alone and such like. She then came straight out with whether I wanted a happy ending. Prices were clarified (INR 6000 HE, 12000 B2B, 16000 FS). I expressed surprise and dismay at the prices (my usual bargaining ploy) but she wasn't budging so I opted for HE.

We chatted some more and she was happy to answer my questions:
- She said every man wants at least a HE, no-one just comes for a massage.
- It is only offered to guests staying at the hotel, not walk-ins (except regular trusted clients).
- I queried the disclaimer and she says the Spas know what's going on and encourage it as the masseuses get paid just 1200 per massage, and it brings in business.
- When its quiet the masseuse inform their regular local trusted clients who then book in for a massage.
- The rates above are the going rates (I will take this with a pinch of salt).
- The masseuses have to guarantee a number of sessions to the Spa to remain on their books.
- The spas are usually owned by third parties who rent the space and are nothing to do with the hotel.
- Some women clients ask for HEs but she does not provide that.
- Many masseuse travel to and work regularly in Dubai which is a very short flight away.

The masseuse then removed her top, pulled down her bra and let me suck her nipples whilst giving me a lovely HE. She was keen to get me back next day and said if I came back she could do B2B for 10000. She even offered to change currency but I did not want to spend that much.

Hope that helps clarify the Indian scene. Other reports have suggested lower prices, more in keeping with the Indian cost of living, but I suspect those are probably for locals. I was obviously a foreigner, and a service provider who works in Dubai is worldly wise enough to know what I can afford.
