ColdPlay ✅ - tho seeing them this year [2025] & previously it was evident that they were at the end of a mammoth tour
The Police ✅ - will go see Sting if & when he next tours as the playlists comprise quite a bit of TP tracks
Queen ❎ 

Will deffo go to the Abba Arena as i was too young  to see them in 1979 when they last played at Wembley

I loved the band Garbage for a while. The self titled first album with the pink feathers on the cover and then the second album 2.0 were good. I played them a lot. Shirley Manson was fit too.

Has the cover of an album ever persuaded you to buy it? I remember hearing and liking a song called Carnival by the Cardigans. Then I saw the picture of singer Nina Persson on the cover of the album that has the Carnival song on it I thought wow she's lovely so I bought it. It's a very average album. A few good songs at most and I don't listen to it now. Still one of my favourite album covers though just because of how gorgeous Persson looks.

Now is it me but the Sixties were a bloody good time then the 70's with the Disco shite then the 80's which was a very good time indeed but since then?..

Seems theres very few bands around now that will be held in much esteem as ones from those days?.

Mind you i've drifted off onto a Calssical thing over time now, aged mid 70's, fortunlay me hearing wasnt buggered by sticking my head in bass bins like many i know did!.

Best radio around now BBC Radio3 after 10 most nights, and Radio3 unwind as to the rest rather poor..

Jethro Tull, Stand up and Benefit are two of my favourite albums of all time, though I didnt like much past that really, a couple of tracks off Aqualung.

I think  it was a better version, more passionate. I saw them in the 70's , at Wolverhampton Civic Hall. Seen The Who several times, first time being at Bingley Hall County Showgrounds, Stafford (first ever music event to be staged there), in 1974. Full line up !

Winding the clock back to around the same period where numerous bands have been listed surprised The Stranglers not got a mention
First saw them in the eighties & a few times since
They've carved themselves out a niche doing large motor racing events
@ Silverstone they were very good the same @ LeMans with a large no. of brits travelling who loved them
Tho it does help when its summer hot & drinks thru the day b4 the evening [outdoor] concert

The Stranglers performed at the Godiva music festival in Coventry a few years ago along with Cast, two great bands. The Godiva music festival used to be a free festival held over 3 days and over the years had some good bands perform including The Lightning Seeds and many more. It is still held every year over 3 days in the Memorial park in Coventry but now it's no longer free. Some years the line up is better than others but they have quite a variety of bands and performers

First saw the Beatles at my local community centre Hambleton Hall in Page Moss in 1961, with the original line up of Paul, John, George, Pete and Stuart, even before they played at The Cavern.

Exciting times as we watched them progress to larger local venues and theatres including New Brighton Tower Ballroom ( larger than Blackpool), and their final Merseyside gig at the Empire theatre, with the now established four Beatles.

If You Leave Me Now by Chicago was an enormous hit. Number one in 7 countries and top 5 in 17 countries. I love the song. Peter Cetera's voice is so good.
