I sometimes wonder if we punters give off a vibe or pheromone that identified us as punters.  The other week I saw a street girl loitering. Numerous men passed her, but when I passed her she said "good afternoon". She hadn't spoken to anyone else and I wasn't eyeing her up. This wasn't the first time this sort of thing happened, so do we give off some kind of signal that SPs recognise?

She was saying hello  to see if u was interested

I suspect that punters can give themselves away to street walkers as they will be looking at the girls in a way that betrays their thinking 'is she?'

I've never been with a street girl, and never will.  But about 5 years ago I was driving through a residential part of north Cambridge and spotted a girl who's body language made me suspect that she was one.  Bear in mind that girls plying for trade on the street in that city will be almost non-existent.

I was intrigued so I parked up about 5 minutes away and walked back as if going to the nearby shops.  As I passed the girl she asked whether I had a light for her cigarette, in a very sexy French accent.  It was obvious what she was looking for but I wasn't in a position to take things further.  She was actually quite attractive as well

Yes, but why me and not the other blokes who had passed her? That's my query.

Because you are absolutely gorgeous and exude sex appeal through every pore.

Maybe she spotted a bulge in your trousers, i.e your wallet.

As regards Cambridge there used to be activity around an area called Pound Hill.

To remember that they named a pub after it as you can see here;)..

Some street girls work out of small short time hotels, or have a room they have access to nearby; others work the car trade.

Some will take it al fresco up a quiet cul-de-sac.

No euphemism intended, of course.

Because none of the others had spoken to her so she thought she'd take the initiative.

I've seen a handful of women I recognise off AW/here on East London public transport and at least one has made eye contact to me but not really anyone else #paranoia

Offline Stevelondon

Of course they can.

It’s the big ‘P’ stamped on our foreheads that give the game away 🤷🏼

Gays are supposed to have a radar that allows them to identify others of the same persuasion, I’d imagine SPsand punters develop something much the same.

Just to update this, I've now passed the same girl 3 times. She's dressed for the profession, if not the weather. The odd thing is she's on patrol quite early in the morning - about 9.15 - and I'm halfway through my regular dog walking morning.  I don't go out of my way to pass her, she's there on a corner that I cross on my regular route.
Yesterday she smiled and said " good morning". Even if I wanted to ( which I don't) I've got an excitable spaniel on a lead with me.

You could at least be pleasant and say Good morning back. They are human beings, like us, as well

I was once on my way into work around 7.30am and I saw a woman in front who I thought might be a working girl given her attire and the time of day. She bent right over in front of me to give me a view right up her mini skirt. I didn't know where to look, but I went to work with a smile on my face.

I didn't say I didn't respond.  Walking the dog I find lots of people will say "good morning". Some will chat a bit more. So far as this SP is concerned, I replied "good morning!" back to her.

WRONG! He is shifty, shame-faced and guilty looking, constantly licking his lips, with give-away stains round his flies.

Surely in this modern era somebody could invent an app that the girl can have on her phone that broadcasts that she's available on Bluetooth and only punters with the same app could receive an alert.

I seem to remember many, many years ago somebody invented a gadget for gay men that signaled to other men with the same device in the vicinity.  I might have imagined it or perhaps it was an urban myth.

It was supposedly called Gaydar

have you not answered your own question? lots of people say hello when you are walking your dog. Especially so if they see you every day.

Very true, I find people more likely to speak when you have a dog with you. A friend (who to the best of my knowledge doesn't punt) refers to his cute young labrador as the pussy magnet

I've seen a WG out and about this week who I've had the pleasure of last year. It didn't sink in at first as I just clocked the ample chebs and arse as I would anyone else, but as I kept looking it slowly dawned on me who she was. Not a flicker of recognition from her but I'll have been one of many clients she saw so why should there be. The thing is, after the punt I was just "Tick" but now I'm like "Must pound!"
