Never close to my home but I did once have to cancel on a girl I was arranging a meet with because once she gave me the address it turned out she was working from the same block of apartments where a friend of mine lives. I explained the situation and she seemed to understand.

Also some years ago when I lived in a tiny village with only two streets in the whole place I had a result turn up in my searches for a few weeks advertising her location as that village. Can't imagine where she would have been and didn't care to find out...could easily have been one of my neighbours!

Back in the day, I had a couple of regulars who lived within half a mile of me - around a nice leisurely 10-15 min stroll. I have to admit, I use to find this quite a turn on, and would be well up for it once I got there.

Despite living so close, I never bumped into them in public. They (or I) didn’t live on busy streets you would cut through etc and I never saw them in local shops or pubs.

If you’re worried, then I think the key is to not to give away too much about yourself, in case you have mutual acquaintances etc.

A reg on the sofa and several times on the bed, overnighted once.
All when 'er indoors was away or working.
She was fantastic after my cancer op and would come and er, nurse me.
Dressings still in place and had to wait until the visiting nurse had left.
