I booked a 30 minute slot early in the morning via whatsapp and they confirmed it.

About 9 hours later I walked in at the agreed time. There was no one at reception, but a 5/10 woman appeared a moment later. As soon as she saw me she shouted for the manager and they argued in Chinese while I stood there. I said I had a booking, they asked for my name and time, I told them and show them the whatsapp conversation. Seeing the manager oily hands, I realised some poor lad was now lying there waiting for the rubbing to continue.

Finally the manager said they were fully booked and to please come back in 30 minutes. I left with the quiet relief of someone who just dodged what looked like a bad purchase.

Sounds like a case of taking a walk in over a prebooked appointment.

Possible they thought the walk in was you with an appointment,  but should've checked name

I have had this twice now at wellspring, out of 5 visits. I think if someone walks in, they take them ahead of a booking, even a booking from a repeat customer

This also happened to me. I rang and pre booked a time but when I arrived was told to come back in 30 minutes. Excuse was a girl hadn’t turned up.

I guess a lot of shops get a lot of no shows, so take a walk in, just in case!

As always once was good now resting on it laurels. They will become yesterday’s place if this persists  :dash: :dash:

Half their customers will be "John", "Dave" or the like. Do you want them to start checking driving licences?
