Although I paid £7 for 2 hours at the Wellington St multi storey, I noticed plenty of on-street pay&display at £2.40 for 2 hours

It goes without saying that time of day and day of the week does have a big bearing regarding on-street parking, you also have to be mindful of Wellington street MS and similar as some of these close mid evening
I find top end of Leeds to be much easier, the Vicar lane area with Templar street /Edward street car parks being easy accessible, the multi storey behind Phun Tawee is pretty good too and unlike many of the others this MS is reasonably priced, though it may often close early'ish

I rather like the park n rides for getting into the CC at busier times, obviously if time is of an essence then these may not be suitable but they are worth considering

Here are a couple of little tips which may help regarding car parking, obviously depending on where in the city you need to be, day of the week and time too

If im needing to be in the wellington street area i use the free car park at one of the two casinos down there, obviously im a member, membership is free, so you could nip down there with some photo ID, make yourself a member, go in, have a piss, maybe wander about for 10mins, then leave and go to your punt

Time wise, walking from the casino to the train station, is about a 15-20 min walk, so anything in between can be calculated from that
At the casino's location you have the premier inn, the ibis and a holiday inn express, the latter 2 often house the odd tourer, maybe 5 mins or so away you have the Crowne plaza, again which often houses the odd tourer

If im closer to the vicar lane end, i tend to park in the Trafalgar street car park, here they charge £2.50ph or all day £10.00, with all day Saturday £7 and Sunday £5, if you are visiting after 5pm they charge a flat evening rate of £6.00
The car park is manned with CCTV and unlike some of the other CC car parks i have never had any issues

It's pay and display which means you need to know how long you're going to be, but fairly cheap, takes cash or card, loads of spaces, and max 10-15 minutes from anywhere in the centre:

Up to 4 hours: £7

Up to 6 hours: £8.20

Up to 12 hours: £8.90

Up to 14 hours: £9.20

Up to 24 hours: £16
