Is it just me or has the Midlands become somewhat of a punting desert?

I've been looking for a good whore to mark my first punt after quite a long break, but it's all flotsam.

That's a shame, mate. I've been punting for maybe five years, so wasn't around when it was probably more of a golden era. I agree standards have gone down across the board in everything, not just punting. But I have had some absolute cracking punts with Brazilians and Thais. Bit of a gamble at times, and a few disasters, but generally I've done okay. I've seen enough now that I kinda know the signs and can avoid the dodgy ones.

As nobody is going to wake up and think "I fancy a punt on my way home..... I'll just pop over to Thailand" we're left with the SPs available here.
I keep nipping out of the country at the moment for work and when I come back, I have a look at AW etc.  It's depressing.  Far too many coffin-dodgers and free bus pass holders trying to pretend that they're middle aged and not built like a semi deflated beachball. Many are charging top prices too. It's laughable to be honest. In Chesterfield, there's a 55 year old charging £180/h.  In Mansfield, there's a 57 year old charging £190/h and a 54 year old charging £200!  There are lots charging £150/h.  Some of them look like they might not survive the full hour.
Chesterfield seems to have a better selection of younger Engish girls at the moment. Assuming you ignore the £200/h laughable rate girls. A guy in a Birmingham group put it best - £200/h is the same as buying one Starbucks coffee every minute and still having the type of change that folds!

Let's just say I could get flights to Thailand for that, checked and hold bags included. and still have money left to pay off 50% of my accom needs.

In Thailand I was bar fining girls and paying them their cut, then spending the whole night and next morning having multiple rounds all for about £50. sometimes £25ish quid and there is literally an ocean of girls, venues, services to choose from. For me this is solid punting.

Yeah I take your point. Just think it's more expensive on balance to go abroad. However, I do plan to visit Thailand one day. I have even spoken to a couple of local Thai SPs who gave me some advice on houses etc.

There's definitely a dearth of English SPs in relation to the foreign ones. I think I've seen less than ten and the other 90 odd were Thai or Latina. I'm assuming the hot English girls just go after the rich men or do their little pilgrimage to Dubai. Part of the problem is that we have stupid pricing. When you get grandmothers charging £150-£180 per hour, younger girls seem think that they can charge £200-250 and be busy.  They soon learn that most punters won't pay that much for a new girl with little or no feedback. Then they vanish as quickly as they arrived.  If they do charge a slightly lower rate, they're in competition with the Roms and Brazilians. Girls with low hourly rates but long lists of hidden and expensive extras.
Eventually, the market will sort itself out and new girls will come on the scene, but my gut feeling is that it could take a few years.  Unless the economy totally tanks and more girls see it as a viable income.

2. Fake tits are ok but again not sure if all admit to it. It’s nice to know what you’re getting though, I hate the scarring.

Quite possibly, I agree.

I remember CH posting some time ago that us punters were choosing wisely as the escort review section for the E Mids was green from top to bottom. That’s bound to fluctuate but at the moment we punters seem to be making less wise choices. Either that or it is getting a lot worse out there.

I have had regulars in the past, not so much now. The really good ones I saw have gone. Additionally, it was my experience that some of those regulars would eventually become a tad complacent and the quality of service would decline. But then that’s all part of the punting game and we move on.

We're also seeing in increase in the number of girls advertising as escorts but just using AW as a means to sell content. That means that however good or bad the remaining SPs are, they can charge more.  The better SPs are harder to book because they're busy. The bad ones still get more bookings because there's little choice left.
The tax man may make a difference over the coming years. AI and more integrated systems allow the govt to collect far more info from banks, social media monitoring, online selling platforms etc. It'll be harder for girls to sell online content without being taxed.  Escorting is still a face to face cash deal. That may entice more girls back.

No idea how AI will impact this. But traditionally, economic decline precipitates an increase in selling sex. But then as men become more skint under successively useless governments, maybe there'll be a shift towards cheaper, but more readily available, online stuff. There are over 4.2m OF content creators now.  About 70% are female. 6 years ago, it was about 350,000.  Apparently, most girls only earn about £100-150 a month.  They've got to break through to the top tier to start earning better money and very few do. They're in competition with every girl everywhere. So, I don't think OF is a viable income option for the vast majority of girls. If you're an average girl with no marketing plan, no editing experience and no idea how to exploit the search engines, you've got very little chance at all.
Plus, many are beginning to find out that content online never truly gets deleted.  Someone somewhere will undoubtedly have a copy.
